Run a trace route to see if the latency is on your end. My q1000 that was provided started to go bad giving me an extra 100 ms over ethernet. It could be quelled for a half hour by restarting it but it would slowly creep up again.

At this point would you recommend it or windows 7?

I just made a spec config that turns on viewmodels, puts them on 70 fov with default crosshairs, enables default key binds, and sets interp to .1. This way I can watch an stv or stv demo easily and dont have to worry about having other keys bound to stuff.

The phlog is banned because someone can do the taunt while capping a point and cant be spammed down from a distance. Only 225 damage to get the taunt that comes with a 75% damage reduction, refills health, and then gives minicrits for about 450 dps in close range.

To anyone using OBS: Is your ping higher when using OBS vs xsplit? For me its about 20 more with the same settings and even lower. Thats why I made the post about tcp relay on their forums.

I bought a cheap usb foot pedal on amazon and linked it to scroll lock. But now I use voice activation so it just toggles mute now.

Ok so I removed the minmode thing reinstalled steam, tf2 and so far no reloading. I think Mits had it right when it was the minmode thing causing the hang up but I dont understand the looping. Normally a config is only execed when you first spawn as that class no matter how many times you respawn. I think it was a combination of the lag on my end and the hud changing to get my crosshair and scoreboard to change even though the majority of the time no settings would change. I have only played 5 games so far though so it could still be a problem but for now looks like it was solved so thank you.

thanks I'll comment the minmode things off. I have them in each class to change my hud crosshair.

I dont have anything holding down my home key and have used different keyboards and this still happens.

I don't think it has much to do with my configs and more to do with a small lag spikes. But I'm not sure why it would reload my configs because shouldn't that only happen when you spawn as a class the first time? Also when it happens my tf2 in windowed mode goes in and out of focus so that my cursor appears. But my fps remains in the 120's during this and my ping stable as to were it was when it started according to the netgraph.

Also you can bind the left and right controls independently. I did them in the tf2 options just to make sure when I originally did it. Its just to make specing easier.

But it happens with every class and my configs haven't changed much beyond view models on or off. I have also verified files and defragged with gcf, steam, amd gamebooster.

Some times when I respawn or when starting a tournament mode game my class config keeps reloading constantly. It has the same effect of a hud reloadscheme in that the sound loops and I am momentarily stuck but it happens over and over again for several minutes. It happens on all classes and is really annoying especially since I play medic. When it does come back there is a 20% chance that I will not have a hud and be unable to switch weapons. This happened shortly before the mvm update a couple times but now happens on a regular basis since then. I uninstalled prec and reinstalled tf2 but it still happens. Is there any ideas why this happens?
