fps capping?

I've always heard that you should have your FPS capped at your monitor hz doubled. So for 60hz it would be 120, and for 120hz it would be 240. I don't notice my FPS stuttering, but would uncapping it make a difference?

DunderBrook so I don't play dota so I don't get what's so special, is it your stats? cause the
guy below him got better?
His team has 4 supports and 1 carry (who did terribly), yet the other team was full of idiots (drow with a blademail, earthshaker rushing aghs, vengeful with a yasha and aghs). Basically he was playing against shitlords, did well, and wants to brag.
