how do you get better at reflects

assuming ur close range, yea it's literally just a mind game between u and the soldier.
pajaroinstead of guessing, react to projectiles.
dbkif u aren't fast enough to react, switch classes
unless you are literally a cyborg with sub 50ms reaction time, u cannot consistently reflect close range projectiles on reaction.

Is the "+strafe" command useful at all?

omnificit's very useful in surf. You can set your cl_yawspeed (which controls how fast you turn) to whatever value you want, with 260 being the default. You generally bind a key or button to +left and +right and use them for tighter turns. It's very useful since most surfers can barely 180 on their mousemat

i think you guys are thinking of +left and +right. +strafe locks your camera, and moving your mouse moves your character so long as you have the +strafe key held.

i don't think anyone has gotten banned because of it but it is technically against the rules
Examples of banned scripts:
Bunnyhop script
Panic script †
Charge Turn script (as well as using peripherals to perform sharper turn angles) †
Turn scripts (such as 180* or panic scripts, as well as yaw/pitch binds) †
† = Impact is based on the situation and amount of times abused. For example, scripts randomly clicked with no one around versus used in front of the enemy team, or used once on accident with no one around versus used many times throughout the duration of the game.
