read through the old journal i wrote in when i was 10 and 11 and has been on my floor in various homes for more than 12 years now. havent written in it in 8 years, i just flip through once every two years. It consists, beyond the usual cringe short stories, songs, and doodles a 10 year old puts in their journals, pages and pages of me insisting my parents hate me because they made me shower multiple times a week. i had no friends and spent outsized amounts of time on the internet. i was physically inert and under a bizarre pressure to plan out my career at the age of 13.
yesterday i hiked 12 miles round trip, 4500 ft elevation gain, in 6.5 hours (mt san jacinto via marion mountain trail, a southern california strenuous classic that typically takes people 8+ hours). i have friends i rock climb with regularly. today i threw out the journal. i shower every day.
life gets better. all glory to God.

re: last 2 weeks of elo discussion: people underestimate how large of a playerpool you need for elo to actually make sense. 27 people added up for 12 player games is just not enough - elo is an illusion at that scale. in my naive opinion. An RL algorithm might be able to, over time, begin picking teams that edge closer to ties (you'd need a bajillion matches to train it though), but a simple elo/glicko algorithm is ineffective at this scale.

bug report: last night fyg was added up to both open and captain pugs, started picking a captain pug, but then the open pug started and fyg got picked by the bot when they shouldve been removed from the queue after captain pug starting picking.

its hard to tell from the video but it looks like you have two permanent bodies you switch between - ie if your other body is caught while you are in the other body it can be killed, but you can also teleport it to you by throwing the pokeball if its alive. i assume this assists attackers so they don't have to run from spawn twice or can set up positioning easier.

Agreed! We need more people to take a bullet and play medic! Not me of course, I would never play medic, but all you other people need to stop playing the classes you enjoy and play medic for me-i mean the good of the pug system.
