The few times I've played Megaman games I thought they were fun, but I'm really fucking bad at them.

Edifice was always really fun but it was being made around the time everyone had a hate boner for gpit. Now that people want gpit back for some reason maybe they'll finally give this map the chance it deserves since imo it's more fun than gpit for competitive play.
Red_What is this game care to explain it?
It's Blizzard's dota style game or MOBA. It's heroes are actual characters from Blizzard games and it's decently fun from what I've played. It kind of strips a lot of the MOBA elements down to their most basic forms and has multiple maps where you all do the same thing (kill the other team's base) but each map has an objective that makes doing so easier if your team manages to do it. It's kinda fun, but at least for me it'd just be the kind of game I'd play when I want to play something like dota but more casual and quicker.
Mr_Owlturtsmcgurtsas much as people like to say the game is dead competitively, it's doing better than pretty much every single FPS other than csgo on PC when it comes to the amount of teams playing and average skill. all it took for me to realize this was to stop playing tf2 and look for the "next big fps".
fps genre has been dead for years now and cs making a resurgence doesn't mean that fps in general will ever enter the spotlight. People don't like to spend years honing mechanical skill when they can play dota/league/hearthstone and be reasonably successful with far less muscle memory/practice.
I can't speak for League or Hearthstone, but Dota takes a lot of skill and practice to actually be decent in. It's just not the same skillset that an FPS typically requires. I've been playing dota for a little over a year now and I only consider myself to be a somewhat decent casual player. But I don't actually play it too seriously.
My point being is that I think it's a bit ignorant to say that you can be better at it with less practice/effort than something like TF2.
TurinHow do people that do HL and 6s do it? Doing 3 matches a week isn't impossible.
HL matches typically take place at the same time every week so it's easier to plan around that. Also similar to EASEA, UGC matches only take place on a single map. ETF2L matches take place on two maps, so it'd be like an EASEA team playing a double header every week, also unlike UGC, ETF2L matches aren't always at the same time on the same day, thus making them more difficult to schedule around compared to UGC HL, and the situation is more similar to how NA players had trouble scheduling both ESEA and CEVO matches in the same week.
In other words, they're not really comparable if you actually think about it for more than two seconds.
I'm pretty sure esea does this joke like every year.
ukmReally good game. Most original and fun multiplayer title in years. For some reason people are no longer willing to pay 60 bucks for a multiplayer-only game even though this is a title with a ton of replay value.
The explosion of popular F2P games and also smaller but cheaper multiplayer games being available in general. Also I rarely ever pay $60 for games these days. Most of them really aren't worth it imo when I know I'm just going to go back to something like Dota where the only money I ever spend is on extra non gameplay interfering shit that I want to spend money on.
Evolve, much like Titanfall, just seems like a shallow game with not a lot going for it while asking for $60 while I could instead play a free or cheaper multiplayer game that has the same amount or more content and replay value.
TheMightyMatHate to revive an old post, but I recently played pyro to discover I scored about 4 times higher than I do in any other class. It is alot easier, and for those who say "But it takes skill to airblast" - I learnt how to do this in about an hour, it does not need that much skill. I think pyro needs a nerf, but that is just my opinion.
You're dumb and you were probably playing against shitties.
blazeitIm calling it! Tf2 updates are bein done by some fucking retard who thinks mannpower mode is the next big thing. What the fuck, the whole point of airshots is lost. Soldier is a pretty useless class when everyone can grapple every fucking second. the grapple itself should be a powerup. Team coordination which was the reason i played tf2 is non existant. Balancing powerups is so pointless. No one cares when you can grapple around so freely. And also these powerups violate the basics of fps. So youre telling me that i am going to lose to some other guy just because he has a better powerup. What is this cod. Fair play and skill is what makes a good fps. Sure classes have counters and i should avoid those counters but if i come up against a class that im a counter to, i should be able to kill him regardless of his shitty powerup. Most of the time they dont do shit to even deserve that powerup. This is worser than nuking people with cod. Maybe i over exaggerated but for real, i would have preferred a new vsh map, or destroying robots thing to this. This is more like a hightower mod than an actual gamemode.
Powerups have been in FPS games since forever, you're dumb. Mannpower may or may not be shit, but having powerups makes it less like CoD and more like FPS games from the 90s.
Crayboffperfect_numberaccording to plotchy and co. - snoven probably wasn't originally going to steal the unusuals, but decided just to run with it once the event was ruined. ofc I'm not excusing his actions or blaming this post
That's snoven trying to push this whole victim mentality thing he has going. He's trying to push blame onto others, it's something scammers and con artists do all the time.
"I wasn't going to steal from anyone! I only did it because you were so mean to me. ;-;"
Why is there a thread about this like every month? Why do people care so much about what the soldier's hand looks like? Why don't you just turn off viewmodels most of them are bad anyways.
Wish they would have stayed one hero long enough to actually use an ult lol. It looks kinda fun though at least. I'll probably give it a shot as a casual game. Movement and stuff is really slow, but if you want a more hardcore arena shooter you can just play UT 4 I guess.
UGC is really the only NA HL league there is and their philosophy has pretty much always been "allow everything that isn't undeniably, blatantly broken" so if you want less unlocks and play highlander you're probably out of luck.
I think I'm gonna replay Mother 3, give me character names.
I just looked up at the tab for my browser and noticed the OP put capital I instead of lowercase l in the thread title.
