#13 Trying to prove to RGL that I'm not an alt account in TF2 General Discussion
pajaroNewTF2PlayerpajaroNewTF2PlayerSeinfeldyou told me and a bunch of other people you were pugging with that you used to play competitive overwatch, and I asked you why your discord was made last month if you used to play competitive overwatch and you said your last discord was "confidential"
That Discord has nothing to do with TF2, RGL, or TF2CC. I'm trying to avoid witch hunting from the other gaming communities I'm involved with so I can peacefully enjoy TF2. There are plenty of accounts active across these communities that were also made quite recently on Discord.
let me get this straight, you linked an alt discord to your brand new, 160hr tf2 playtime steam account with only tf2 and SFM on it, on RGL and you expect to be cleared as not an alt? and you refuse to disclose what your previous tag was because other gaming communities have kicked you out for reasons you don't want to elaborate on? are you a pedophile or something

No lmao I have not been kicked out of those communities. I still actively participate in them (except maybe Overwatch, that game is just ass compared to this one). My previous Discord and current btag literally have "watch2" (like Overwatch 2) at the end of it, and I figured a new alias entering the scene would be more appropriate than that.

Also guys, please don't call me a pedophile. It genuinely hurts because I'm a teacher in my dayjob. Leave the kids alone.

If it means anything, my hours are nearly at 400, not 160.
Then why are you scared of letting ppl know your actual discord tag? What "witch hunt" are you running from?

Also regarding your hours, you have 380 on record but only 160 of playtime in your game stats. 134/160 of which is the last two weeks.

Genuinely curious, where is this info being pulled from? Because I know a lot of my hours are in other gamemodes like Casual and MvM, but I swear I have more active hours than 160. If you could link me the resource, I'd actually appreciate it.

The "witch hunt" in question is mainly from the OW2 community (i.e.; "Why are you playing TF2? That game is dogshit. Just play OW2.") This fear of being ostracized by these people is real because I started playing TF2 on my new (and first) Steam account, forgot to turn off game activity on Discord, and immediately got lambasted by OW2 players. I just don't want to deal with that shit going forwards.

hannahWell your name on tftv is NewTF2Player they should unban you based on that

True and factual.

In all seriousness, I think I kinda messed up with the name of my account (which is literally just New TF2 Player/ New Team Fortress 2 Player), but I honestly don't think that my username should've been in consideration for determining if I'm an alt account or not considering that ANYBODY could've been using that alias.

#1 Trying to prove to RGL that I'm not an alt account in TF2 General Discussion

Initially, I waited nearly two months to be verified on the RGL Discord so that I could continue playing PUGs outside of TF2CC. After 50+ days, my account was banned on both the Discord and RGL as a whole for being an "alt account."

I have no other account associated with RGL or even Steam; the Steam account I signed up with is the only Steam account I own. My previous gaming experiences came from consoles and the Battle.net launcher (for Overwatch/OW2, World of Warcraft, etc.)

At first, the admins at TF2CC attempted to help me out with my predicament so that I can play in the upcoming Newbie Cup (I managed to get in), but then I was automatically marked as "Community Banned" BECAUSE of the RGL ban, so I can no longer PUG or play any matches associated with them until the RGL ban is dealt with.

I have no other means of contacting RGL other than appeals, and I've already sent in two. I fear that if I send another appeal form, I'll be marked as spam and they won't even bother looking at my case.

Is there another way to directly contact RGL to maybe get this sorted out before official matches start for the Newbie Cup?

I'd wait for them to respond to the appeal(s), but judging by how long it took for them to respond to my attempt at Discord verification (albeit resulting in a ban), I'm worried I won't get a response until AFTER the cup.

Any help would be appreciated.
