Does the built in demo recorder still record pre-game? I never really messed with it since it was added to the game, so I'm curious if anything changed.

My Season 29 demos have hitsounds and damage numbers. Albeit, they only show up after the week 1 demos, but anything after that works.

I downloaded this demo in question and damage numbers/hitsounds work fine on my end.

These are the CE settings I use when looking at STVs.

ce_localplayer_enabled 1
ce_localplayer_player 1
ce_localplayer_track_spec_target 1
ce_antifreeze_enabled 1
ce_killstreaks_enabled 1
ce_hitevents_enabled 1
ce_hitevents_dmgnumbers_los 1

Also make sure tf_dingalingaling is set to 1 if you haven't done that already.
