Got the same thing too. All my graphics settings stayed at what they were at before, even after turning off Steam Cloud sync, and deleting both the custom cfg folder, and the regular one.
I'm not on a Mac, but I ran a few benchmarks on my system just for the heck of it.

Just watched it. It's pretty awesome.
Although I can't shake this feeling like they were kind of too scared to be really creative with it, so they just copied everything that worked in the original trilogy. The similarities are really fucking apparent.
One of the recent CS:GO updates made it so that graphics settings aren't shared between accounts on the same computer anymore. This caused my graphics settings to all be reset as well, but once I changed them back, they stayed that way.
I don't know how to fix your specific problem, but it's most likely related to that update.

That's some bullshit right there. At least I can fly them indoors.
I haven't seen any of the requirements for what it takes to get registration/certification, but it sounds like just a way for the government to make some money off of drones.
