#16 Sweden increase terrorist risk level - Dreamhack in TF2 General Discussion

The CS commentary is gonna be difficult.

"The terrorists have just planted the bomb, this of course means that there's only 35 seconds until it's all over"

#5 Low lod not working in Customization

There are the settings I use. It works for me with the latest version of Nvidia Inspector

Setting the antialiasing - transparency supersampling to AA_MODE_REPLAY_MODE_ALL was what made it work.

#14 What headphones to get? in Hardware

I just picked up a Sennheiser HD 558. I don't have a lot of experience with decent headphones, but so far they've been awesome.

Although I don't know who well it would compare to the other ones mentioned in this thread.

#24 Surgeries in Off Topic

I had my wisdom teeth removed. I forgot that there were stitches in, so I accidentally pulled them out. I put some gauze over the now open wound and went to sleep. The next morning when I woke up I pulled the gauze out and there was a big blood clot stuck to it. I could feel it coming out of my jaw as I pulled it out.

Then later on I had my entire upper jaw removed, cut into 3 pieces, and then put back into my head with titanium pins. I got my mouth wired shut for 2 weeks while I healed and I could only eat liquids the entire time.

When I got the wires removed and was able to open my mouth again I could barely open it more than an inch.

Then once that was done they had to go in and put pig bones into my jaw, then once that was done they drilled back in, to put in screw holes for implants. When that was done they cut back into my mouth to expose the screws so they could put the implants in.

And my orthodontist is still trying to get my bite correct.

#5 TF2 Flat textures in CSGO? in CS2 General Discussion

You should be able to use the TF2 settings in Nvidia Inspector on the CS:GO profile.

However when it works, it makes smokes transparent. I don't think Valve VAC bans for it (since they don't for TF2), but ESEA will.

I enjoyed playing with him during the brief stint we were on a team together. Always glad to bump into him when I'm ringing!

#2 Cost of fixing a monitor? in Hardware

The important question is what is it worth to you?

If you don't have the option of buying another monitor, or if you don't have another monitor you could use your only option might be to send it in. Check around and see if anyone else has had the same issue, and if/how well it worked when they got it back from being fixed. Sometimes refurbished monitors can be just as good as new, sometimes they're thrown together by a monkey with glue and don't work for anything.

A brand new monitor of that same type is only $110 more than what you would pay just for the repair, so it might be the better option to just spend the extra money and get a brand new one. Plus with a new one you can almost always send it back for a full refund if it doesn't work when you get it.

If you're feeling really brave, you could also look up online to see if there's any way to fix it on your own.

#2 Would you keep it? in The Dumpster

No way that money is legit. Probably belongs to the mob or something.

If I was feeling stupid I might try to turn it into the police, but I would have to make sure that anyone who saw me wouldn't know who the hell I was, and then I'd keep as low a profile as possible for a long time.

My life isn't worth that much.
