#82 trump's muslim ban in World Events

Well, they come from New America, as cited in the image. Their data set is available. Leaving that aside, though, pay attention to the actual categories in the image I posted. The 2 figure is specifically for Islamic Jihadist *Immigrants,* which is most relevant to Trump's ban, wouldn't you say? Later, there's a total of 9, which includes citizens.

In your source, TROP (which is explicitly anti-Muslim, I might mention), figures 139 deaths since 9/11. That still works out to roughly 9 per year.

Okay, but this doesn't change the fact that many more are harmed than killed and those are disregarded here. Along with this many of the jihadists are first generation born in america for instance the Orlando shooters father had connections to alqeda and he got in radicalized his son and boom his son kills some gays

fen_Nub_Danishfen_cant wait to not see my family for an extended duration of time god blesswhy not go to Lebanon to see them?I'm 100% Syrian. My parents are 100% syrian. My grandpa that I havent seen for 6 years(aka when the war has started) was applying for a visa at that time. At this point even if his visa gets accepted it won't matter. My grandma has a green card here that is legal yet I fear that they would nullify it or something because of this act.

My parents visited our family by traveling to Lebanon and having someone pick them up from the airport in Beirut, but I think that even if they or I did now we would be heavily questioned on our flight back from a Mid-East country, especially with the government knowing that my parents are both immigrants from Syria.

Those are my main concerns with this executive order and I just have wanted this idiotic war to have never existed, I visited my family every summer and Syria was my second home, it's a fair bit of who I am, and now more of that may be ruined.

Well from what you've said I don't think this new executive order changes your ability to go visit them, and I don't find it surprising that you'd get questions when you return back after visited a country in the middle of a war with a terrorist organisation.

AvastYeah usually migrants from stable countries just carry their membership cards for their various extremist organizations around with them.

As an economic migrant you have to have much higher qualifications to get into the country than as a refugee and I would hope that the background check and what not would be much more extensive as they're no danger of you dying because they don't get you out of a war torn country fast enough.

AvastDaggerGentlemanJonI understand from the reported leaks that Saudi Arabia isn't on the list of countries being blocked to prevent the US becoming subject to more terrorist attacks. Comedy gold Don.why would it be? they have a stable government, they are not involved in any wars besides intervening in syria and yemen against isis, and they have closed their borders to all refugees.
It's comedy gold because the majority of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi based/backed and Saudi Arabia has a known agenda of promoting radical Wahhabism more so than any other of the listed countries when combined with the minuscule danger from middle eastern immigrants to Americans as listed above.

So really this is a political stunt with no actual substance or reason behind it.

Tl;DR Feels over reals

I think it's mostly because theirs no way to check if a refugee from syria is a member of isis or not, seeing as they likely have no form of ID

The site you list doesn't say whether the perpetrator was an American citizen or not. Not sure how what you're trying to use it to say, since the 144 people over what, 14 years comes out to almost exactly the number in the chart when you add immigrants and non-immigrants.
Getawhaleyou're right, even the most generous math gives more than two, even when you exclude 9/11 as an outlier, but i doubt the importance/significance/purpose of the chart he posted. we get it, americans shoot other americans. so in other words, that graph isn't really a compelling thing to look at or consider.
The point is that the threat to Americans from refugee terrorist attacks is miniscule compared to, say, disastrous consequences of lax gun safety laws. Trumps campaign promise (and, now, policy measure) to ban muslims/refugees from entering the country is not only disgusting from a humanitarian standpoint (today, many Syrian refugees are held up in Turkey, where they aren't allowed to work and have trouble accessing heathcare and education services), but also when you consider that these unfounded allegations deepen the distrust between ethnic and religious communities in the US. It's hard to deny that they're the result of a deeply racist worldview.

how does it come out to 2 where does this math come from 9/11 alone was 3k and people injured would also could as victims of the terror attack

i just dont like stuff being so disingenuous i don't see the point of the chart

eXtineeXecutive signing in the wall is insane corruption. He's gonna spend a lot of money on something that is literally pretty pointless and has a lot of serious logistical impediments. the only way possible that he could actually get MeXico to pay for it is through war. The idea of economic tarrifs to pay for it is stupidity, they'd just try to equal it out however they can and take their business elsewhere.

illegal immigration is bad for poor people, well off educated people benefit from it because they get cheaper jobs but the poor Americans who want those "shitty" jobs dont do too well
as a side note the border wall isn't some new idea donald trump came up with it's been in the works since 2006

#34 why is reflex so dead in Other Games
SlicerogueNub_Danishkawas idea is that people play games and want to get carried
support characters essentially have to get carried because on there own they do not have enough individual damage etc so if people really just wanted to get carried they'd play support

no because noone wants to play support. in the same way many people dont want to play medic in tf2.

thats my fucking point nobody wants to play support because they want to feel like they have an impact they wanna feel responsible for winning
people probably dont like 1v1 games as much now because when you lose you have no one to blame, but yourself and people dont like blaming themselves so they say "the games just shit" and stop playing it instead

KavNub_DanishkawaPeople want something where they can hop in and get carried, where they don't have to learn anything to do well.

That's why starcraft and quake are dead, and cs and dota aren't growing anymore.
if this were the mentality why is support the least played role?
cuz it doesnt actually help all that much. its less about being unable to aim and more about just being able to win/help despite not knowing shit. supports almost always need a decent amount of metagame knowledge to do well, and when they dont they just bait the shit out of their team and accomplish nothing. but a new player could easily pick soldier, +forward into their team, spam rockets and die and people could play off that damage.

dota not growing? also you can hope into dota and do well thanks to matchmaking. I went 27-0 on riki on my 7th game ever it was retardedly easy

its almost as if you were probably matched against other people with only 7 games played as is the typical way they match people up
