#23 ESEA: I want a refund. in TF2 General Discussion
KillingAfter taking some time to cool down (I normally get super defensive and don't back down no matter what), I really was in the wrong here. My initial thoughts going through this conversation was that the 2 players were going to need 1 month of freemium just to start off. I skew my words for this job in certain situation but this is actually one of those times it really was a misunderstanding. Either way, I'm going to pay for the leader and the 2 members who were thinking of joining out my own pocket. I clarified with the other teams that I gave freemium for only 2 months but I must have been in a rush with this one and forgot (If not, expect more threads). Anyways, I'll pm you in the morning for the 3 profiles.

TLDR; I fucked up, I guess live and learn ... and pay.

Handled like a gent.

lol strong backpedal

Killing"I'll give you freemium"
"i'll give them freemium"
"I can only give 2 freemiums per team"

Okay, maybe you can't give an entire team freemium according to the rules.

But you have at least promised freemium to Golden and "they" which means AT LEAST 2 more teammates.

you dun goofed, time to man up bro and pay for them out of your own pocket to save face for ESEA.

#5 10-keyless keyboards in Hardware

Sorry mate, but you missed your chance at a good quality $50 tenkeyless.

During Black Friday CoolerMaster had their mech kb's heavily discounted.

I would just sit tight and cross your fingers they decide to do an Xmas sale.

#8 My words of encouragement and stuff for u in TF2 General Discussion
capnfapnNot_MatlockAlways good advice.

Although, next time you should use your massive dick as a weapon. Unless the enemy team is into that sort of thing.

I'm in open so I dont think Ill ever get to scrim mixup.

Oh you :p

Yeah, I have found it is best to just take losses as a learning experience as hard as that may be sometimes.

#47 Fully Charged - we want your questions for ESEA! in TF2 General Discussion
KalkinOdissiusWhy can't they be more open-minded/progressive regarding the use of plugins?

ETF2L allows the use of plugins in their divisions, whether they be transparent viewmodels or increased FOV (and they have had zero impact on the way the game is played).
ESEA will never allow plugins. Things like increased FOV do give players advantages over other players and are outside of developer intent. If TF2 will not allow you to it do within the engine by default then ESEA does not want you to do it either. We may balance the game through things like class limits or weapon bans, but we won't actually change what you are able to do within the scope of the engine.

If you believe that allowing players to have 120 FOV has zero impact on the way that the game is played I believe you you should play on 75 FOV for a week.

I never said anything about 120 FOV. Not to mention that no one would actually use that because it distorts the game too much. Actually quite a few invite/premier players play with lower resolutions so targets are bigger and easier to aim at.

ETF2L has proven with their lenient stance on the use of plugins that allowing optional FOV plugins does not change gameplay in anyway.

Quite frankly, it is an absolute joke for a "competitive" game that involves a lot of vertical/z-axis gameplay to have a limit of 90FOV. No competitive FPS involving z-axis gameplay has ever had that low of an FOV cap in the past.

It's cool though, I'll prepare my angus for the inevitable -frags because people will get extremely emotional, whilst forgoing logic, and think it will somehow change the gameplay in a drastic way and that they will have to adjust their playstyle.

TF.TV, the only forum where you get -rep'd for being right.

#51 Solution to gaming with cold hands in Off Topic
RenhetI used to run hot water over my hands. Not warm, but hot, so the heat would last a little longer. And during respawn and whatnot, I'd put them between my thighs and calves against the backs of my knees.

I tried a little heater on the desk one time and it worked wonders, but apparently those suck up electricity as somebody said in here.

between your thighs eh?

RynoCeruspretty common knowledge but if you're unaware of it it may help.
http://ozfortress.com/showthread.php?t=39627
as it says it will probably make a difference to your gameplay

I tried it a few times...doesn't do shit in my experience, besides messing up all my movement keys when I go into spectator/STV

#11 On Scout Movement in TF2 General Discussion
reillyOdissiusI think from what I have seen is that they strafe with every jump...also don't forget to abuse your hitboxes/character model by spamming crouch while in the air with each jump.I heard thats been fixed. Can anyone confirm?

they only reduced the number of times you can spam crouch...think they limited to 2 for scout? don't quote me on that, could be 1.

It works for every class...but scouts who abuse it, gahhhh. Makes them hard to hit.

DeepIs this technique banned in ESEA? Like how tauntsliding is?

definitely not

Banaynaylove the -frag for asking a question

most likely it is because you posted in the wrong section...there have been loads of threads on mech kb's in the 'hardware' subforum

and I wouldnt worry too much about the -frags, people on this forum tend to have a hivemind mentality and -frag if they see the post has already been -frag'd

edit - fucking lol'd @ whoever -frag'd this post

bunch of beta faggots

keep 'em coming, queerbaits
