#10 i7 8700k for $60 in Hardware

dont bother. it will never be "out of stock". you'll end up sitting with -60$ in your bank account until you dispute it or cancel the order or whatever.

#5 Can TF2 run on 2 gigs of ram? in Q/A Help

No. You will hate yourself because it will run like garbage and you wasted money. It's not the ram that's the problem, it's mainly the CPU.

Good build for cheap. Salvage an HDD/case/PSU from an old prebuilt or something. Honestly, I don't know how old you are but my only advice to you is: get a job, save money.

sibbswhy does this game make you redownload the entire thing after an update

it apparently downloads the update and then the rest is re-verifying the entire install. still, it's a piece of shit launcher and I hope the full game releases on steam.

Also here is the ESL page for the 1mil championship:

viperand the fact that anarki is the only hero with true air control, but has an incredibly piss poor health pool is annoying

sorlag has tank hp and armor and has similar movement to anarki.

Hit reg is still garbage. Rockets still have shit loads of lag. Zooming does more damage still. It seems theyve done almost nothing since the first beta came out. There hasnt been a single response from bethesda anywhere on the closed beta forums. Hopefully this stuff turns around soon...

slizzdoes anyone notice from videos or even gameplay that rockets have some kind of delay and the rocket jumps feel off? They haven't addressed this at all...

Yes, it is extremely frustrating. Rockets are basically only used for spam rn because they're so hard to use.

This happens with all projectiles though, including Galena's health mines. For those of you without the beta, just imagine the stock 100ms interp while playing soldier in tf2. It's that bad.

Also I really don't get why the pipes aren't in the game.

#103 Quake Champions Closed Beta in Other Games

Judging by the gameplay video, there are a few things I took note on:

There is a lot of visual noise, the HUD is a big player here. Hopefully it gets better on later and/or they let us customize it.

The hitsounds are way to quiet, hopefully you can raise it in settings. I couldn't even tell if there was a killbeep or not(hud tells you like 30 different ways anyways but whatever)

I do like the character's voice acting and the echo-y-ness that the sound design has for the voices. I think it ads a lot of cool depth to the game. I don't really know if an arena shooter needs that though...

I hope there are dedicated options for lessening particle affects, as they seem to be contributing A LOT to the amount of visual noise. Can barely see what the hell is going on with all the explosions. Could also be youtube's shitty bitrate or something, it might look better in game idk

looks like it's going to hopefully be pretty solid though

also i signed up for the beta the day it was announced, but i never even got a confirmation email like it says I should have?

tbh game looks really cool, but i probably wont buy it unless there is some kind of "classic" mode without all the abilities and shit. which will not happen. so i probably wont get it unless its cheaper than 60$

#2200 PC Build Thread in Hardware
AdmirableI mean I would upgrade from the ModMic to something better perhaps? Like a big ass desk mic.

Headphones are Sennheiser HD595

Yeah maybe I'll make a new thread and ask some audio nerds :D

The 595's are relatively easy to drive, only 50Ω, with the same sensitivity as the 598s. I highly doubt your onboard sound is so terrible it cannot drive them, so it sounds like some other problem, probably driver related, or something is screwed up with the cord.

Personally, I wouldn't really recommend a sound card nowadays, it's better to get some kind of external dac/amp so you wont have any issues with EMI. If you really have no budget, you could get something like an Objective2+ODAC which is a great dac/amp combo, but overkill for your cans. Something like a Fiio e10k would be fine for your cans. Also most external dac/amps don't have mic passthrough, so expect to use your onboard audio for your mic, or get a new USB mic or something. I don't really know much about mics tbh.

There's also the Schiit Fulla 2, which is completely driverless, and looks a bit better on a desk compared to the e10k, for around the same price. Personally I'd go with the Fulla 2 because it has a big ass quarter inch jack, a huge volume knob, it just looks better than the e10k.
