HafficoolBattle for 2nd best Icelander
yeah whoever loses will be 2nd and the winner will be 1st
When Sideshow was 10 his teacher askd "what do u wana do when u are prem?" and Sideshow said "die 43 times". the teacher said "u didn't understand question" and Sideshow said "u dont understand roaming on viaduct.". The teacher was kensi, retweet if u beliv in prem
it was promising, but if they can't win from that position then the next 2 games look bleak
The original idea behind running the playoffs in 1 day were:
1) More hype for a "grand finale"
2) Remove all the scheduling difficulties throughout playoffs (there were always problems with scheduling and teams often requested delays and extensions). Setting it to a day in advance of the season ensures players can play in advance and we can tell teams to deal with it if they have problems.
The current system is much better than a traditional 4th vs 1st, 2nd vs 3rd in my opinion for the reasons Stark mentions. Adding in a 4th team is possible but it brings up problems:
1) Games would have to start at 17:15, 19:15, 21:15. The first game is very veary early, especially for CET-1.
2) If 4th or 3rd place place would reach the final, that's potentially 9 maps in a row without a decently sized break.
3) The issue of warmups for teams becomes bigger, teams would either have no warmup or a warmup at 16:30 which is super early.
I think if playoffs involved 4 teams the playoff system would have to be adapted.
SideshowPleeeeeeeaaaase fix the whole "not being able to bet" thing. I was gonna bet on TLR today but couldn't and now I've been robbed T_T
I couldn't even access the site at one point, but I've been getting errors with bets since a couple of weeks. Wanted my TLR skins as well.

DanceNumberif esea dies can etf2l support an NA league if some people sign on as staff?
Probably. We stopped providing any servers a while back when Hypernia/PurePings stopped all gameserver partnerships. European TF2 is very reliant on serveme.tf for servers - I've not come across many people owning their own servers recently. A quick check on na.serveme.tf shows a fewer amount of servers so that's one issue that would require attention.
Contacting some server providers for a partnership is possible, however we haven't really looked into it as it really isn't needed for EU. Since serveme.tf was around our servers were rarely used anyway. Either way, we wouldn't be able to have anywhere near enough servers to cover an NA league - either serveme.tf would have to get servers (donate!) or people would have to buy servers with their ESEA fees (or both).
People have to realise that ETF2L doesn't have the same reliability when it comes to a prize pool as NA - sometimes we'll have some funds come in and be fine and sometimes it dries up. Hopefully TF2 is heading in a direction where this won't be a problem for much longer but it's still something to keep in mind.
Other than that, it pretty much relies on some volunteers to help run. Sonny Black is actually living in Canada at the moment which means he would be able to oversee it most likely. Who knows, last time we talked about this ESEA stayed on and CEVO happened. We'll have to see what happens.
ThalashwonderMany people thought that Fulltilt will lose 0:5 0:5 to reason like they did in last officialIDIOTS thought we'd lose 5-0 5-0
i hate idiots
Starkiewe were gonna play but haffi kept telling us to take the default
blame haffi to be honest

nymthaeshould be some good games coming out, got tickets for the semi finals in London so definitely keeping a close eye on who gets through.
surprisingly swift (and good!) result out from C9 there today
its the quarter finals in London and i am also going, hopefully i get a decent bo5 series and not a shitstomp.
SuperfuzzHurt my ears if I wore them longer than a couple hours. Otherwise they were awesome headphones.
Same for me, got the dt770's and they're much comfier
It would be great if the brackets could be adjusted to allow for the extra signups. Currently in Round 2 the matchups are:
#1 vs #3
#5 vs #7
#2 vs #4
#6 vs #8
Which sort of ruins the semi-finals since 2 of the top 4 seeds are knocked out before then. A more sensible matchup list would be:
#1 vs #8
#2 vs #7
#3 vs #6
#4 vs #5
It wasn't a huge problem when there were <8 teams but if the signups continue to increase it will be a problem
