According to banny an illegitimate reason punishment for leaving for the 1st time (im assuming it will have a scale system like pug champ that will go back down eventually) will be a one day ban. How does that sound? To me when he said severe punishments i was expecting like 3 days for your internet dropping so that doesn't sound that bad to me
Could I get a quick explanation for why you chose this cpu and motherboard? I showed the 2673 build to some steam friends who've built PCs and all of them said the choices for those two parts don't seem optimal or don't make sense. I doubt they know the game on a hardware level as well as you do though
How will you know whether someone left because they had to go or because they wanted to save Elo? Will you just assume it cause the leaver's team was losing, or because friends happened to match up?
just to make sure we're on the same page when I say the beam I'm referring to the one on the far left closest to the spawn http://comp.tf/w/images/thumb/7/7e/Badlands_Last_Point.jpg/800px-Badlands_Last_Point.jpg
the medic stands behind it in a way so that the sniper can't shoot him from main or barrels. A demoman can be near main and spam pipes into stairs and you won't see them coming and even if they're called they're hard to dodge, while standing behind the beam you have plenty of time to dodge and go into spawn. With stickies you can go into spawn and someone can shoot it or blow it away it's not an issue
Edit: oh yeah sorry I totally misinterpreted what you were saying with that wall idea that's not a bunker at all my bad. But if you're going to just replace the beams with walls what reason were you trying to remove them for in the first place? That wouldn't make it easier to spam down sentries (which isn't a problem in the first place they're still possible to spam down)
For one thing if a demoman is spamming a med behind the beam he can just like hold the s key and go into spawn for a few seconds lol I've never been spammed by demomen in that position cause it's futile. And the problem with stairs apart from being confined and having no vision as bear mentioned is that since stairs are basically a ramp pipes can come in and roll down them which is hard to dodge cause gravity and you can take a little bit of damage that way. You also don't want to rework stairs to make the medic isolated from the rest of the team like a bunker or something if that's what you're suggesting cause the advantage of stairs is that you can heal your pocket while in them (by the sniper beam he has to come to you for heals) but you're losing a little bit of safety in return.
Daggerdeathmatch
In other words how good your aim is. To say "he has good dm" means he's cukei got good aim.
b4nnyFACEIT Hub admins (myself and anyone I appoint) have leaderboard editing power so that if you were forced to play out a match down in players or had to !gg and take a FFL, an admin can at the very least undo the effects of that to your scoreboard position and perhaps even compensate you with a bonus in scoreboard points for having to deal with that.
This is not good. The reason other games don't do this is because if a game goes bad 1 person will take the fall and leave so everyone else can get out of a losing pug without losing Elo. And that happens occasionally when 5 random people meet each other, imagine how frequently it could happen when players who know each other well match up in a small close-knit community like ours. What I suggest is that if someone is afk or leaves within the first 5 minutes the match can automatically be cancelled with no Elo loss like the way dota 2 does it. Losing Elo when someone leaves is going to suck but it's better than Elo becoming inflated as a result of the winning team getting Elo and the losing team not losing any (or even gaining some as you mentioned.)
I also disagree with making the punishments for leavers severe, it's pugs bro I'm not trying to get banned for a week or some shit cause I had to go suddenly.
I haven't gone through every post in this thread so perhaps you've changed the last in a way that this isn't a thing but for the regular cp_badlands at least that beam is incredibly important. Without it there'd be no place for medics to play in the case of a sniper except for really close to top right so main can't see you at all which results in you being a really easy target for a soldier jumping through main, or you can play inside the staircase but you can't see anything and you can get owned by pipes.
Also in my experience that sentry spot isn't even a problem anyway
1. It's going to be super annoying to lose Elo cause someone left. No sub system either so this is just regression
2. From how many times I've seen 20+ combat class players stare at the pugchamp screen waiting for 2 medic mains to show up I find it very difficult to believe that it's going to go smoothly that some people are going to get forced onto medic. This kind of thing happens in Dota 2 a LOT. If a team needs the last person to play support but they want to play carry, some people will pick a carry anyway and your team composition will be aids. Some people would rather lose on a combat class than win on medic
3. I have problems with discord occasionally, faceit should really use mumble and there's no reason not to
4. Some people won't want to captain and will be forced onto it by RNG, will occasionally result in poorly picked teams
On the other hand, games will happen faster. A problem pugchamp does have is that nobody wants to captain, nobody wants to med, the draft takes a while, people take a while to get into the server, etc. It can often be 20+ minutes from the moment a pug starts to the pug actually happening. But what we're basically doing is going from a restaurant (pugchamp) to fast food (faceit.) The games on pugchamp will be a higher quality but will take longer to happen, while these will be worse but faster. It's debateable whether that's a good trade or not.
SetsulWhen? Can it wait until after the weekend?
I just want to get the the most powerful pc for the budget so i assumed that would be now during black friday and stuff but if things will be cheaper later then sure
Ideally i want it before esea season 27 starts though if possible
Also my goal is to get like 150+ frames constant so i can buy a 144 hz later, and my brother said this should be more than enough: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/guide/r2NnTW/entry-level-amd-gaming-build
Hi im planning to buy a new computer. Budget is 900 CAD / 700 ish USD. I have peripherals and a monitor so I just need the tower and power supply and stuff. All i plan to do with it is play tf2, osu, and maybe overwatch if it runs good.
