If you truly want to piss off your opponent, just jump up at the same time they bomb and shotgun them in the top of the head so they crater

shocka1PlatinumI didn't realize in the eula of tftv I s required to make your forum viewing experience a pleasant one. You keep saying shit about harb and squid but I still don't understand what kind of vendetta you are out to settle about my intentions. What does it matter to you? Are you grossly sickened by the fact that I tell it like it is and you have to search for a deeper hidden malicious agenda?
I think at this point we are beating a dead horse. Whether or not your actions were genuine is left up to everyone else to decide, and according to the +frags, they believe you. I gave my opinion based on things I have seen you post in the past, as well as directly communication with harbleu. I'll stop responding now.

And you decided to give your opinion / psychoanalysis of me and my intentions for what? Was your goal to persuade me out of it? Was it to turn everyone against me? To dissuade the other people who have matched my "action"? Just because you aren't heard elsewhere in your life and you thought you'd be listened to here? I'm *genuinely* curious as to what your goal was. Did you succeed? Did you fail? Please don't stop responding, you have pushed the thread to 200+ already, why not go for 300?

eXtineBroder/Epsilon could still have dominated em, but the Quick Fix in NA was definitely a fiasco. ESEA had previously banned the battalion's backup mid-season because it was "broken", but they allowed the QF's drastic changes to impact the season.

*shrug* It's all hypothetical, but HRG having to utilize the QF for months before i49 definitely screwed with their mentality imo.

Lol no lansky and shrugger just choked like chickens

shocka1enigmathe entire basis of your posts seem to be just personal attacks on character. i'm going to ask you once nicely to stop.defy...when that happens just fucking do it yourself you whiny bitchdefyshort answer, no because you're a colossal dumpstersquiddamn shocka u are a tremendous debater...DrPloxo you derailed a good thing because you're too fucking retarded to shut your mongoloid mouthsure, I will stop.
enigmathen you shouldn't be posting in this thread and instead complaining about ESEA in one of the 50 other threads out thereI complained about the players within ESEA, not ESEA itself.
enigmaif you knew them at all, you'd know that they're one of the most forthright people in this community with their opinions. why are you attempting to make character judgement about people you've never interacted with before?what I have experienced within these forums from harb and plat has not been the most pleasant, which is why I gave a link to that other thread initially. I have interacted with harb directly (other thread), just not outside of these forums. So, is what you are implying state they are not 'genuine' in these forums? If that is the case, my initial statement about questioning the motives behind these players is valid.

4812622smakersPaying league fees does not give anyone an incentive to learn and improve and potentially stay more than one season.
Ideally, they'd be so satisfied with the quality and competition of ESEA when they played it for free that they would rather pay for another season of ESEA than go to the cheaper (and hypothetically inferior) alternative, CEVO.

The people you're begging to join ESEA aren't going to take top two in the div on their first season. They don't care about winning money, they just want to not be awful ugc shitties anymore. The players who stand a chance of placing high amidst all the sandbagging have already played several seasons of open and know the drill about fees. Or they're already firmly in the CEVO camp.

Anyway, the people who are going to take all of this donated money will just have a bunch of ex-im/main players on their roster and everyone knows it, lol.

now someone pay my league fees

I'm not "begging" anyone to join. I'm inspiring competition. And how the hell do you know who is going to win? Lots of practice over the course of an 8 week season together could easily make one team dominate over another in that division. This game isn't hard, it's about dm, coordination, teamwork and timing.

For any type of food service I typically will take 20 percent and round up to the nearest dollar, because they probably need that little extra more than I do

shocka1enigmawhatever the "new" invite would be (main?)

you'd still be complaining

that was rhetorical, but sure...
enigmai've managed casts for seasons and can tell you that there's always a surplus of games and a shortage of people (fog, extine, etc can back me up on this)

plat and harb have casted games in the past at the expense of scrim time. demanding more to satisfy your wants is a bit hypocritical given that you just accused them of being selfish.

bottom line whatever contempt you seem to hold for the tf2 "bourgeois" is sorely misguided. the top of the scene will always exist, whether it be the players there now or the players that replace them (or one day maybe even you).

@Mana & @Enigma, you are missing the point.

My point was never to imply it is anyone's job to help out 'lower level' players. The point of my post was to point out the hypocrisy. It was to point out how much they have NOT cared about lower level players, but now they do care when they NEED them.

Hypocrisy? There has been a huge rift between top and bottom for seasons now. Every other successful game, casual/lower level players respect and admire, aspire to be as good as, etc higher level players. This game is a paradox because of its casual pub nature. This was an attempt to bridge the rift and to inspire some real drive and competition in the open division, ideally to spark new blood for next season after a successful competition and recognition for the winners this season. If winning open and getting moved up actually meant something to people, the game might actually grow the way that it easily could.

Selfish to put up my own money to keep esea alive? Maybe, if that's how you look at it. But if that's the way you think, give me any example of a "selfless" deed? Any volunteering, charity, etc is done for selfish reasons, ie you FEEL good.

And to your point about us not contributing, harb and I have casted at least one or two im-main playoff matches for the past 3 seasons, with multiple invite games as well. I dont know about you but I have a 730-6 job and I'm out of town on weekends, so to give up part of the 2 hours a night I have free to acrim/play with my team to cast is a pretty large percentage of my free time. Anyway,go sign up for open, Ya might learn something.

KAMODeeppowah;-;Platinumthat has no sandbagging ex-invite nerds on their team this season. Let's play video games. Not to mention, didn't Powah sub for Enigma(?) in an important Via match a couple seasons ago? Way to shit on people that have saved your ass in the past. AND the sandbagging wasn't even the players' fault or choice, that blame needs to re-directed at ESEA.

No idea who you are. Maybe if you try and win open, I'll recognize you.
