This is valve's own fault. they designed and launched this game with a casual gaming experience in mind and is being treating tf2 as such for almost a decade. realistically speaking, releasing matchmaking isn't gonna solve anything until comments like those are not the representation of the majority of this game's player-base. it's foolish to create a player-base with a casual mindset and then expect them to have the maturity or sense of judgment to abide to a competitive structure. you'd literally have to brainwash these people to negate the mentality they created during years of casual tf2

the actual competitive tf2 players is the minority. these guys actually represent the majority of tf2's general community. you'd see this dumb shit every time if not for the competitive scene.

Some time, maybe years ago, there was this pack that replaced default wood, iron and whatever textures for different ones....different colors, more high quality i guess. i looked around for it with no luck. and no this isn't the flat textures. they were actual textures. i hope someone knows the pack i'm talking about because i kinda really want to use it again.
also i'm pretty sure it was posted on "show your hud modifications" at some point, although i don't know in which page.
