Yeah I don't see why this is such a big issue. If we're that bad, then why don't we see more NA players living in AUS and schooling us all. Because it's a non-issue, that's why. It's not worth the time spent worrying about having a blue name, nor the effort of traveling over here and earning a blue forum handle, where you couldn't in NA.
Plus, like it was said, people will know what region you earned your 'invite status' in, by your flag or other public knowledge.
This is supposed to be a good thing !! I thought this was to be an international hub for tf2 (eventually). Discriminating by 'skill' (still subjective at this point), or by 'region' are both arbitrary choices.
