I don't understand what UGC's deal with rampantly deleting threads is.

Pretty much any time something involving an admin comes up, threads are deleted with no notice. Not even sure if they lock threads anymore @_@

What's illogical is that you're claiming X and Y teams shouldn't be in gold if you're in platinum because they beat you, but there's clear indication as to why both your team is in platinum while others are in gold. You're screaming that admins don't get your logic while you aren't following theirs, which is all kinds of silly.

I really don't like having to keep standing up for the UGC admins, so I'm pretty much done trying to explain their logic.

I will say though, the "16 teams in platinum" deal is likely also a reason which I had completely forgotten about. For some inane reason, the admins want 16 teams for playoffs and no less even though there's double elimination playoffs this season. It's shit like this that makes me uncomfortable having to play devil's advocate, as I disagree with lots of the shit they do :X

It actually seems that they're much MORE consistent dealing with division requests this season than last, as they ARE adhering to strict guidelines. Again, I disagree with their stance with adhering to strict guidelines when it comes to divisions, but they ARE consistent and set in stone. As to why making a new team wouldn't make a difference at this point, it's because you've already defeated your own cause by bringing massive amounts of attention to this situation which has caused multiple admins to shut down your request. The admins would definitely notice if you made a new team with all the same players, and would treat it as the same team as last season.

And really, if you want to make a good post against UGC, make logical, well informed arguments rather than fling shit and try to start fights in order to get people to join your cause. There's many flaws with UGC, I'm not saying it's anywhere near perfect, but of the many ways to deal with this issue you chose the worst.

On the flip side, last season the team I took over (A Tin Team) was no longer platinum material, so I requested to be moved down to Silver and we were moved down despite making the team numbers in both plat and silver odd (meaning a bye week every week)

DEVIL'S ADVOCATE TIME

I still feel that your solution would've been to make a new team rather than rename an already existing team. It's not hard to make a new team, and you would've had both a new ELO and no existing record. I'm not a league administrator, but their taking into account your past season is a reasonable, though I disagree with their stubbornness in not letting you be moved down. Additionally, the other teams in gold that you're pointing as "Well they should be in plat too then" is missing their logic while screaming that they're missing yours, which is kind of sad. Their logic is consistent.

To elaborate, those teams you're pointing out (with the exception of .) all are clearly stated to be in gold because of their previous record. Your team is in platinum based on your previous record. This is all stated here. Specifically:

This implies the only teams that moved down from Platinum last season are teams with losing records, which Squirrel Clickers didn't have. Again, a new team would've solved this issue and it's likely you would've been placed in gold.

I don't agree with their rigid stance on divisions and personally feel it should be more tailor-made for each team to ensure they're having fun, but they ARE being consistent.
