#10 Can internet speed affect my ping to the servers? in Off Topic
valkeriRhettroWell I would assume so, considering that I have gigabyte Internet and I live in Texas, but I can still get ~40 ping to EU servers
no way this is real, i live just a bit north of dallas and get 40 ping to dallas servers, 100+ if its esea servers

I get 5-10 to Dallas servers (and I'm in Austin), I'll prove it when I get home, and it's because gigabyte Internet is a godly thing.

SideshowI don't really get why you're starting from scratch. Why not offer to run the existing one and take over a site that already is functional?

That's exactly what I said

Also what do you think would be a good way to do betting?

Would you guys be willing to put up a key at the beggining of the season to be able to play, and then depending on your placement score-wise you'll get paid back, with a bonus for everyone in the top five. Math-wise, the top ~35% will profit, with the top five profiting at least a key.

Here is a straw poll asking if you are willing to pay the key: http://strawpoll.me/6721569

Note: this will 100% not be up and running until next season, and at most 10% of the pot will go to developers.

capnfapn"hey capnfapn, this is where we first met!", says pie_hero as he gracefully dances around the mid point of cp_badlands. "Back then you were such a young boy, but you're a big man now, and I've been so happy being by your side watching you grow up." The two scouts double jump and airstrafe their way to spire like two twirling lovebirds. "What are we doing here? The match doesn't start for another 30 minutes." Says capnfapn in his shy, docile voice. Pie_hero holds his crouch key down.
"Capnfapn, my love, will you marry me?"
"yes"

I missed that

BaddazleRhettroBaddazleRhettroI would say that price should be based on how many people have that player on their team, while points are given based on the player's performance. In conjunction with that, you could make it so that there is no budget limit, but instead reduce the amount of points you get based off of the money you spend.
Possible. I was thinking of making different small leagues, and people pick players for each league. So in short, only 1 player could get picked, but we should see how that ends up.

Couldn't agree more with the unlimited budget.

Would the sub-leagues be class-wise?

Also what is your plan for making profit?

I have no profit in mind. Reason I'm doing this is actually because I have to much time.

The sub leagues would be divided into something as of ESEA Season 20, League 1 and 2. They wouldn't be class wise.

You said that each person would get to choose one player, how would that work?

Also if you don't want any profit, I could work for you and be the treasurer…

Edit: dropping an uber should be negative points for the medic
