People have different opinions on things. It happens. If you can't handle someone critiquing a HUD in a video game, I'm wondering how you would function in an actual job.

And it's not like we're blindly shitting on your HUD. Everyone has said valid criticism and not just 'this HUD is shit.'

I get what your idea behind the HUD was, kind of like a DoodleHUD meets rayshud deal. I like that. It was just poorly executed, but could easily be fixed.

The entire point of critiquing is that people care enough about the thing or person to try and make it better.

Honestly, if people hated your HUD, they wouldn't even comment with critiques.

Don't give up yet, man.

But the thing is, shrimp has both a visual element and a taste element.

HUDs only have the visual.

It's like me looking at a frame of a movie and saying 'ah, it's in black and white.' I know the film will be in black and white, do you want me to watch it to make sure I was right?

The thing about your HUD is that it is pretty cluttered. I don't need to download it and use it if I can already tell what I'll be looking at.

If you want people to make good judgement without downloading and using your HUD, then make a video with it.

My two cents:

I'd suggested either making the font less tall or removing the black boxes. Or both. It kind of detracts from it visually. Some may argue that the health cross is too large. I'd agree, to an extent. Maybe thin the border around it out a bit.

Also, you have a bit too many HUD elements pertaining to team color. Are the lines under the health and ammo with the team color really necessary? If you already have the border around the health, why do you need them there?

Switch the demo head-count with the sticky count.

And if you want everything to be closer to the center, you should move the last-damage indicator closer, instead of bottom right. Or bottom left at least. Also the disguise panel is kind of really low and out of view.

Oh, and one final thing: make it 16:9 optimized please.

Listen, dude. You've clogged up the forums for the past couple days with these posts that, honestly, I can't even decipher.

You don't take criticism well at all, you're surprised when people say you're in over your head, but you are adamant on saying you can play at a high level while a myriad of people say you can't.

If you had a different attitude about this whole thing, this wouldn't be as bad, but it seems that you remain dubious to the fact that everyone knows you're not that good. You can't expect the community to be nice to you when you continually type nonsense and create high expectations for yourself.

Get on a UGC team, get better at the game, and come back then and look for a team so people who try you out wont be completely let down.
