stop having fun u r splitting the community
im really bad w/ production and all the music i write is shit anyway so take this with a grain of salt, but from like a composition standpoint you could really fill out your music
like i was listening to tank time v2 and was waiting for like a bass voice the whole time. try to have distinct voices in mind when you write so it has a 'full' sound while still making sense yknow
also like during the later part when the hits start, the hits don't match the chord tones that are playing under it. i would recommend you take the time to learn chords and progressions and stuff so you can add some variety to your music while keeping it coherent
a lot of writing music is listening to shit too. if you listen to music of the style you're trying to recreate and really study it you'll find it a lot easier to write in that style and sound good. and when i say study i mean like, listen to it thinking: ok it starts with an intro of 8 bars that's just the motif in a high voice with some synth-y harmony playing underneath then the bass comes in w/ rhythm and that goes on for around a minute w/ some variation in hits and stuff until it dies down into etc etc etc
sorry im bad at explaining stuff i hope i helped a little
Aoshima
idk dude i've learned a whole bunch about either side of the argument
dummyCompetition at the very top will die without a LAN. All the big plays and great matches you see on LAN are a product of the LAN environment. That level of play isn't happening online.
I dont agree. sure, a 0 ping environment allows and does produce some crazy shit. will exciting, high level play die without it? hell no. will people stop being interested in the game because there's no super exciting high skill glorious lan to watch? i don't think so
consider our last qf-fest of a lan. as i recall, some of the matches we got from late im and late open playoffs were way more exciting and skill intense than that.
i guess my point is: 'big plays' and 'high level play' aren't nonexistent in online environments, and aren't guaranteed in offline environments.
going to an arts high for sax rn, id totally recommend buying a keyboard first
theyre versatile as shit if you end up playing with composition or production
and if you decide to pick up another instrument knowing keyboard will help a lot
theyre really fun to play considering you have a virtual band to accompany you whenever you want
Why are you guys guys assuming he's guilty and has to prove himself? Seems kind of of ridiculous to me

can't tell if that was satire b/c most of those punishments seem pretty justified?
you should prob remove the iso link and just tell people to get melee 1.02
PUFFWhy dota when you can smite!?
b/c hi rez took a great concept and some decent execution and crapped on it
super stupid balancing at this point and they keep releasing characters that are even more bloated and ridiculously more powerful than the last generation of characters, and then they nerf the older generations based off win rate
engine is garbage and so are the servers
and since the last patch jumping over abilities for some reason?????????
rip
isolate the different aspects of playing the game and work on them individually
pretty much how you get better at anything
in my final 2 weeks of TWC, i had 200 ping to chicago
that is all
