JRPGs and in general most turn based RPG games like pokemon, persona, final fantasy, etc are all inherently flawed because of the turn based genre itself. i can understand to a point wanting to play tactically but when your choices in the games i named mean nothing other than "which move will do more damage" it's a vapid and pointless system that gives you the illusion of choice without presenting any real consequences on even the small scale, let alone the larger scale
