Website developer here. I'm of course extremely disappointed and distraught to see the event go up in flames like this. Personally, however, I'd like to stick around as long as the organization still exists.
To clarify a bit on the PayPal button: I had suggested that we add a button for donations to the organization itself to the website, on the grounds that it costs money to register a domain and keep a server up. As it stood, Nick was footing the bill out of pocket, and I wanted to alleviate that burden from him. We received exactly one donation from it, all of which will be used toward the next VPS bill in a few days. I promise, I never intended anything malicious by it.
I also spoke to Plotchy after I got up to speed on what the hell was going on. Yes, he was and/or is a scammer (which I of course don't condone), but he was genuinely dedicated to the event, and seemed just as upset as I was at the sad news. To me it seems the blame falls primarily on Snoven, and perhaps poor management decisions in general in the months and days leading up the event.
Edit: It seems as though my account on this site still uses my old username, but I promise it's me. :)
