ShdSteelWell currently I'm running an Astro mixamp. It combines a USB audio source with an optical audio source and outputs it to a headset. It has two dials as well, one controls the main volume and the other balances the volume between the two sources. I'd like to replicate this but with a higher quality unit.
you don't want a digital interface for that. It's gonna add a lot of latency

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX ($200 HD650s)

JojoI don't know a ton about headphones but I am thinking I'd like to upgrade with such good deals on mass drop. Big deep comfy earcups are just as important as sound quality to me.
All that in mind, Would the hd 6xx be a better deal than https://www.massdrop.com/buy/akg-k7xx-massdrop-first-edition-headphones

I prefer the akgs personally, and I'd say they're a lot better for games if that's a factor

Super mario land, navy seals, tetris, pokemon red and pokemon pinball on the fat gameboy brick. Aside from pokemon, they were released before I was born. Love hand-me-downs.
Also had a chinese friend whose uncle gave him some of those counterfeit compilation cartridges with like 50 shitty games, I played those too.
