WiethoofdI'd recommend just removing the tf_english localization file and validating game files which should force a download of it anyway.
Also check various resource folders in the ones in /tf/custom for a tf_english.txt which will be loaded over the default one!
I actually tried deleting the resource folder and validating earlier and it didn't help.
But, I just ctrl+f'd for tf_english in my tf2 folder and found a tf_english.txt in \team fortress 2\resource\ from 2014 which seemed to have been causing the issue. I deleted it and it's fixed now. Ty!
Next question though, how do I stop these from popping up every time? http://imgur.com/a/7DJql
The check box doesn't work.

Re-installing is an option.
Have you tried installing a hud other than the default and seeing what it does?
I can't reinstall because I have a data cap. I've tried multiple huds including default, I don't think it's a hud problem.
DigiI think you are missing the tf_english.txt file located in tf/resource. Validating should have fixed it but since it didn't here is the file http://www.mediafire.com/file/va2hh4gs8vj4z7j/tf_english.txt
I had that file, but I tried replacing it with the one you linked anyway and it didn't help. Thanks, though.
My hud is a bit fucked, with certain things replaced with #item_name. I thought my hud was broken because the matchmaking screen has been like the screenshot for a while, but after updating hud, uninstalling hud and completely emptying my \customthings\ folder it's still broken.
I've tried validating cache and -autoconfig. Cloud sync is disabled. Reinstalling the game isn't an option. Please help.
tsarMy friends and I made an exercise called inverse push ups where we have a pull up bar a bit higher than arm length and you pull your body up into push up position. Do those.

RipTideinstead of selecting items that you'd like to be allowed it should be select the items you want banned

powergamerI've also been looking at the g403. I am really torn between the g403 and the g502 right now. If only the 403 had the scroll binds I would be sold instantly. While that is important I'm worried that giving up performance that the 403 or other mice like zowie mice may be too important.

edit: just bought the g502, wish me luck
The g502 has the same sensor as the g403, you don't have to worry about performance. Best sensor on the market (probably). The major difference would be the weight.
powergamerI'm in the same boat as flatline with my g500 of 4+ years starting to have slight noticeable issues on the right mouse click.
I'm thinking about just buying another g500. Obviously quality for fps is important, but I also use the scroll wheel left and right click binds for going forward and back for things like webpage browsing, which at this point is too ingrained in me to want to get another mouse that doesnt have that functionality.
Try the g502. Similar shape, has the left/right scrollwheel buttons and good sensor. It's relatively heavy but if you use a g500 you're used to that now anyway.
next time someone says tf2 is dead show them a free stuff thread on tftv
