Yeah, also used the keyboard in #3 for years. You could try topre which are mechanical but have a similar feel to rubber dome. Also you could try one of the many other cherry switches that aren't like how you described. Sounds like you tried greens or blues and dismissed the rest of them.

@Setsul
my friend took the list to a store and they don't have the case and psu, he's wondering if the replacements in this picwill be alright
kirbygoing for that ancient aliens plus
you look so much like my irl friend it's freaking me out
Probably any stores will be fine, he'll be ordering parts online
tyvm, he wants to order parts ASAP. Also he is interested in playing upcoming games like fallout 4, if that makes any difference.
Echoing what everyone else is saying pretty much. Looks gorgeous and runs silky smooth in ultra @1440p. A rare treat these days. The sounds are also great. Gameplay is fairly lacklustre, though. Not a fan of the super fast regenerating health and map imbalance but hopefully those things are fleshed out more with the final release. Overall pleasantly surprised can't wait to see how ea ruins it.
Decent GPU meaning preferably something high end, like a 970 or something, but whatever has best price/performance. I'll ask specifically but let's assume 256gb for the ssd, 2tb or so would probably be fine for HDD. Microatx should be fine, he's not interested in crossfire/sli and doesn't require a lot of pci slots. If there's room to splurge I think he'd want an i7, but overall he's not too fussed.
Edit: He said he's fine with 120gb for ssd and 1tb for hdd. He might want to put a wireless card in so maybe something with one spare pci slot?
My friend wants a new pc, he can do NZD$2000 which is ~1300 USD, but his budget is pretty flexible. He mainly plays guild wars 2 which is quite cpu heavy, but he does want a decent gpu as well. He wants a whole build, so assume he's carrying nothing over. Yes SSD. He isn't interested in overclocking so a stock cooler is probably fine. He's not bothered by how quiet or loud it is, as long as it isn't overheating and throwing sparks at him. No peripherals, just a tower. IDK if pcpartpicker works for nz but pricespy.co.nz works well for finding prices. He wants it quite soon, ready to use before the 23rd roughly.
Thank god... I don't have to make transfers for my fantasy team
