If you get lucky you can find an IBM model m for a few dollars. Probably the cheapest mech keyboard you'll find. Check craigslist and garage sales.

QNIX 144hz monitor

The Korean monitor manufacturers (qnix, x-star, maybe others), use the same panels as the well known manufacturers, but they take the rejects from the factories (a- and a panels rather than the a+ panels that get sent to Asus and such) which is why they can sell them cheaper. So that's the tradeoff you make, cheaper monitor for the (high) chance of dead pixels. Also cheap stands. I think monoprice is more reliable than qnix and xstar but that's just based on past experiences with their products, I've never tried their monitors.

ProSkeezThe "Zowie input lag" is because of the Huano switches they use in all their mice. It's not really an input lag, it's just that the Huano's are harder/longer to press so it comes off as a 'delay' of sorts. At the most it's 20-30ms, nothing that will make a difference.
I don't think that's true. IIRC the latency was tested directly from the switch electronically. There was no button actuation done in the test. The mice have actual higher latency than others.
