The recent OZF15 grand final between Jasmine Tea and Ego was super intense

K15-0 scorelines, uh oh.
Guessing you didn't watch anything leading up to i49 or i52
megalinxWas hoping for a team immunity reference in the jasmine tea one
Team Immunity were super cool but the jasmine guys are great too and deserve better than to always be compared to iM.
LambdaAUTsarbucksI didn't understand the xenex or jasmine tea ones. Can anyone help?
I'm assuming Jasmine's refers to Brutalix and Xenex used to be singed to Crowns eSports.
Could be that, could be paulsen's dog-like tendencies
†Jo̡͉̝̽̇no : Where's your Highlander badge SHRAK?
SHRAK : i dont play highlander :S
†Jo̡͉̝̽̇no : Okay
†Jo̡͉̝̽̇no : Just a really good pub player then
I am 10x the player on over 120 fps than I am on my laptop (anywhere from 20 to 60 fps). You can't react effectively on sub 60, instead of controlled aim you have to rely a shittonne on luck and hope that input lag doesn't fuck you over. <60fps just doesn't work for competitive play.
Man super hype, proud for my longtime co-caster and all round dreamy boat, he's put heaps of time and effort into this and I'm glad to see him getting up there on the international stage.
It is definitely possible to get camera and casters to line up together without post producing. One of the most common ways is that the casters actually cast off the observer, which I feel can work for play by play, but for analysis makes it a lot harder. It's possible to have pbp off the observer, and then colour off their own pov, but this does come with issues such as no flexibility for the pbp which can make it harder to cast, and can cause some tunnel visioning in terms of who is being watched.
I'm glad it's going to be done live, it's super hard for the observers, however david and ondkaja are solid af so it should go great imo.
To make sure you catch flanks/backcaps/hiding players, you'd need a 3rd person watching out for those full time honestly. I cast with free cam, and I still miss backcaps far more than I'd like to. It's just excruciatingly hard to make sure you are aware where every single player is going while trying to watch a fight for second.
Only just over a week to go and just under a grand to fill out the total goal! Indiegogo takes a larger chunk if the goal hasn't been met so keep donating! I'm sure there are more dog-based things paulsen hasn't done yet
that was absolutely nuts
hype for the full vid
holy fuck that is one of the funniest threads i've ever seen on /r/tf2
nymthaeAwesome news on the goal, glad to hear it :)
Ref. suggestions about between maps/freeze time - I don't see how that's any different to how it has been historically? Teams almost always walk off between maps, can talk to anyone etc. there's been nothing stopping anyone consulting a tactician between maps.
And that is what I think would be most fair. There's nothing stopping any team consulting a tactician between maps. But there is something (cost) stopping many teams from being able to field a 7th man. I feel like every team attending should at least have the opportunity to the same resources, instead of a select few who have a huge advantage over everyone else.
yeah i thought we agreed posting sileanimus is cheating
It's a huge advantage and I think it's ridiculous to allow coaches for this event as only a select few teams even have the option to use one. I implore the people in charge of the TF2 event at i58 to reconsider this, or at the very least change how the coaches work (eg I'm sure most people would be much more accepting if the coaching was only for freezetime/between maps as opposed to being used to micromanage your entire team midgame)
Europoors so scared of losing that they'll even play 7v6 smh
