#124 Donald Trump in World Events
AvastI mean, while I would love for no religions to exist where we live Space. We can't really send all the Christian or Jewish people back to the fertile crescent or deny Christian/Jewish people entry to the US based off their religion.

When Jews and Christians start to shoot up random public targets because their choice of religion "radicalized" them, then we can entertain the though of sending them home as well.

AvastdollarlayerAvastIt depends, does use of Christianity to support enslavement and slaughter of Africans and Native Americans over about 500 years count as terrorism? Or does it only apply to proper civilized nations like us.
Does the Bible directly condone this type of activity in the same way the Quaran directly condones attacking non-believers. I don't think so.

Secondly, you are pulling up examples from hundreds of years ago. Do you have any modern 21st century equivalents from other religions that are so heavily involved in terrorism besides radical Islam?

Make ready to slaughter the infidel’s sons for the guilt of their fathers; Lest they rise and possess the earth, and fill the breadth of the world with tyrants. (Isaiah 14:21)

Then I heard God say to the other men, "Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children.” (Ezekiel 9:5)

Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves. (Numbers 31:17-18)

If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. (Deuteronomy 13:7-12)

I too love me some violent similarities between all Abrahamic religions.

Can't those religions just stay in their respective part of the world?

Red_dollarlayerRed_Donald Trump may be a goofball. And saying that all muslims are bad isn't a good thing and is wrong. BUT sayingn no muslims in my country makes me feel much safer and it sure as hell gets rid of a lot of domestic terrorism problems for a while
http://qpolitical.com/someone-said-muslims-bad-woman-delivers-amazing-response/

Check out this video. Most Muslims are non-extremists, just like most Germans during WWII were not Nazi's and opposed the mass genocide of the Jews. The TLDW point of that video is that "The overwhelming majority is irrelevant" and that it is the extremists that are the ones we need to watch out for.

The biggest question is how do we distinguish the difference between a radical Muslim and a moderate? Do we wait until they commit a crime to determine their beliefs? Is there a way we can prevent terrorism while still allowing freedom of religion?

It doesn't matter if MOST aren't extremist which is true. What does matter is national security by letting muslims in even if only 1% of them come with malintent and this gets rid of that problem

1.6 Billion Muslims in the world

if 1% are extremists that = 16 Million ppl to track and keep out of our country. Essentially a staggering amount of people and only saying 1% are extremists is is low number by a lot of accounts.

I don't support Trump or anyone at this point but one thing I will say is that it is refreshing as shit to hear a political figure say things and not worry about being politically correct all the fucking time.

Trumps appeal comes in the fact that he is not completely tied to political favors and outside money to influence his opinions and views. He isn't forced to say something a PC way to keep a big financial supporter happy. He just says whatever the hell is on his mind. I can respect that but if he gets elected, he needs to followup on his promises unlike what Obama has done the past 8 years.

BonafideSpaceCadet. Many other countries banned all guns and enforced it strictly, or you're only allowed to own one with license without ammunition. It worked for them, so why does the US feel so special and entitled to their guns who kill more people by accidents than you soldiers do in an actual war?
People of all age groups are significantly more likely to die from unintentional firearm injuries when they live in states with more guns, relative to states with fewer guns. On average, states with the highest gun levels had nine times the rate of unintentional firearms deaths compared to states with the lowest gun levels

The best answer to your question is that our country is not like these others you have mentioned. (Denmark and Sweden I think?) Those countries are very much smaller than the USA and have a VASTLY different cultural history. I happen to feel that my country IS special when compared to all others.

We have a proud firearms culture in this country that spans generations. Perhaps you cannot relate to that history, and that is ok by me, but know that it is not one easily cast aside because someone says "Gun are bad".

I believe you need to take the culture of a people into account before you can say a blanket statement like the one you said. "Banning all guns" will never be a reality in this country. It will never be accepted here in the USA. You can choose to disagree with that if you like, it doesn't change the fact.

My opinion is that both sides of the gun control debate are totally unreasonable and that is why they cannot find a middle ground and agree on very small and basic changes that benefit both groups and the country at large. Both groups are afraid to take their foot of the gas pedal because it could be interpreted as a "show of weakness" by the other. Both are scared it will be the end of their agendas if they show weakness.

When both sides of the gun control debate speak about their agenda, they do so with such passion that they take individual examples and situations to the utmost extreme. Doing that makes the other side immediately shut down and get defensive, therefore ending civil communication. No common ground is found and another stalemate ensues.

I am personally pro-gun but I disagree on a lot of the things the NRA pushes and says. I disagree because the extremes they go to in order to make a point are mostly always the "worst case scenario". The same thing can be said for the anti-gun advocates in this country. To just come and flat out say things like "we need to take all guns away from everyone" is another insane extreme and never going to be a reality.

When shit like this happens it is unpredictable and random to the general population. Gun laws will not stop these situations. In those moments you cannot rely on prayers, god, the government, the military or the police to save you or the people you love. I have lived life since my early 20's training and trying to be as prepared as I can possibly be for the unexpected when I am in public. For that reason, I legally carry 24/7 and refuse be the individual hiding under a desk waiting for my turn to die. Sorry if that is to abrasive to read or comprehend. It may be almost impossible for foreigners to understand but that is reality as I see it. More armed citizens who are responsible gun owners will have a positive impact and save lives.

I truly hope these attacks end but it may not be any time soon. Even if something does happen near me, I may still die even though I am armed, but at least I will have the option to save my own ass if I am better than the other guy.

DamnEasyWhy do americans hate cops? In europe, atleast in the netherlands people actually feel protected by cops lol

If you walk around and just watch programs on any of the major news channels it will focus on a minority of people who happen to get TV ratings when they are put in the spotlight. Someone once described it as "shock news" to elicit a reaction and get more ppl interested and increased viewers.

Americans do not hate our Police Officers. The news outlets will very rarely report on the 95% of incredibly brave and good things police officers do for us on a daily basis. Instead they will focus on some bad apples and the other 5% of negative police action. Being a police officer today is not an easy job and 1 mistake can be your last. Between fighting domestic terrorism and lone gunmen looking to make a name for themselves by murdering a cop, you have to take it all into account before you bash police officers.

Why? TV ratings and money. Everything in this country eventually boils down to the almighty dollar. Don't let yourself be fooled.
