I used to play a good amount, still do. Mainly D&D 3.5 with a bit of Cthulu and others thrown in. I still play it online with some irl friends way back from high school, good times.

If there were a demand for it, someone who's not lazy like me could make a tf.tv tabletop group, playing them online honestly isn't that bad imo

Pubs help, but there's a certain point where you get good enough so that pubs don't really help that much anymore, most pubbers have pretty awful movement so you kind of get used to how they move. I'd say HL lobbies can be very helpful too since hopefully people have marginally better movement in there, but I don't play very many lobbies. If you can try and find a decent pub to snipe on, like skial upward or skial harvest.

I've never played on a sniper server in my life so I couldn't tell you whether they are helpful or not, I'd imagine it's just a bunch of second scoping.

tr_newbots has helped me a lot, though at the cost of a bit of sanity since trying to hit the scout going at mach 3 can be pretty hard. In terms of the best warmup these days I'd say either this and the one DM server you can snipe on helps, but I don't think I recommend the DM server in good conscience since I'm pretty sure every hates it when there's a sniper in DM, including my own team.

Not the first time, but once a friend came over and gave me an edible that was so strong I tripped balls for like 3 hours. Shit was crazy, just as intense as mushrooms.

He later told me "yeah i've accidentally poisoned myself with those". Would've been nice if he told me that before I ate one.

I was playing in the DM server and he was in there, after a while I left to go pub, and he followed me and focused me in the next pub with his similar shenanigans. Not sure whether he was following me because I taunted him a couple times after killing him, or because I was streaming. Just giving fair warning if you dislike that sort of thing happening to you.

UGC actually enforced this rule after one of the '92 matches where there was a lot of aliasing going on (I think saam aliasing as "evl are fucking retards" might have pushed it over the edge). It's kind of annoying when you have admins constantly telling you to get your players to change their names, so you have to constantly tell your players that they need their name to be proper, and they're all memeing and refuse to do it, but I understand why the rule is there.

Also, whenever Sigafoo casts, always has every player pre-aliased as their proper name, which granted how he's only one person and the EVL casting team was presumably more than one person, always amused me why they just didn't do that. I don't know how much work it is but i doubt it really is that much work.
