Tbh I think all that really matters is that from now on there's a concerted effort for everyone to stamp out 'toxicity'.
No point arguing about past examples tbh. All that really matters is what happens from now on.

DoomsdayexeMuukiyeah i bet all the 7 players and circlejerkers just "didnt notice" when they tell other people to kill themselves or call them autistic or display jewsmashers and nignogs getting sent to the shadow realm on their steam profile, just an oversight.
if you're gonna apply punishments, apply them equally to everyone :)
Please. Show us evidence and we'll call it out. It isn't a complicated construct. You can't call bias when you're making claims without giving us evidence for us to do anything with in the first place. Silly.
Including your own...
ReflectoStylaxI think what he's saying is where is the line. Let's stop talking about freedom of speech and shit and actually move this conversation into what is and isn't allowed. Give a rough draft of words you think shouldn't be allowed instead of leaving to the the ambiguity of don't be a dickheadfaust_catman1900hard pill to swallow: free speech doesn't mean you can say whatever you want without consequences
i just wanna know who becomes in charge of deciding what's offensive and what's not.
as an exaggerated example if i call my friend ugly in chat am i now banned or am i missing the point? seems like it could derail very quickly.. the whole process would be very subjective
You could say that about any 'justice system', anywhere, ever.
It's just common sense imo.
But that's me done on the topic.

You shouldn't have said it Thalash.
Ultimately people not to stop deflecting and just hold their hands up to what they've said or done. It's not like you're condemned forever unless what you say is really bad.
prsnmost people are just white males who never experience any form of harrasment and cant feel empathy for others getting harrassed. also its mostly caused by the racist/transphobic/homopohibc society they grew up they cant reflect what they did wrong and see it as normal
Mate, they're just silly kids on the Internet and saying shit to people makes them feel better about themselves.
Pretty much that simple.
AdramelekI find it quite amazing how some people are willing to stand against racist/transphobic/sexist remarks, yet so adamantly defend trash-talking or other remarks that aren't of the prior variety. You say that such racist/transphobic/sexist remarks drive people out of the community, but doesn't that apply to all forms of harassment? Minorities and specific groups, and terms used against them shouldn't be singled out because this is a problem that applies to everyone.
Plenty of people are driven out of the community for other unnecessary insults and trash-talk. Don't just swipe that under the rug as being "incomparable" and deeming it acceptable. Some of you even say it is a strategy if the enemies have "tilters", are you serious now? Don't you see the hypocrisy? Come on now, just be nice and respectable. It's not hard.
You're right that's it's more than just racism etc. A lot of players have been bullied out of wanting to play.
Let's be honest, even people like Sergeant Brown get far more grief than they deserve for merely having a different tf2 view.
There should be a general effort and people should have the balls to challenge groups of wankers who harass people.
InternetIntellectualStylaxYou tried way too hard.Do you have any talking points or counterarguments - or was this you pouncing on an opportunity to generate upfrags by making a short, dismissive response to a post that argues against the meta? If the latter is true, then the poor effort rests on you, not me.
Poor effort.
Ha, like I care about clicks on a forum
InternetIntellectualEnterimWhat a fucking joke of a scene if it's remotely controversial to ban people this toxic, shitty, and anti-human. Absolutely disgusting. This post is a negative contribution. If someone's personal beliefs are truly that abhorrent, then it shouldn't be a problem to explain to them why. Name-calling Muuki doesn't do anything but say "I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY DONT LIKE YOU!!!!!" - you haven't said anything meaningful. There are no arguments or points made.
Ban Muuki too for being such a shitty fucking edgelord. No video game scene is worth putting up with these sociopaths.
Furthermore, 95% of the people in this thread have said "just be NICE to people..." - but why is that particularly favorable? Why is being "NICE" seen as an intrinsically good thing - and why should I be unconditionally nice? It's a competitive environment, and in all competitive environments, animosity should be expected.. Why does the CS:GO community embrace banter and shittalk, but we reject it? To create a dogmatic environment that is supposed to breed yesmen like what most people in this thread seem to be asking for is unachievable in all aspects; an infinite project, a dog chasing its tail. In all aspects of life, there has to be a struggle in order for you to have a will to continue your daily quests - this is why for every hero, there is a villain. Unfortunately, most of you seem to have a will to achieve comfort and pleasure, leaving no heroes. There is no productivity in comfort, War is a necessary aspect of all societies.
You tried way too hard.
Poor effort.

what does se7en think of using these kinds of racist players like credu in their games ????
Weird as fuck.
And yeah, Se7en, like everyone else, should call people up on it. More so than most, even. I've thought that before.
Come to think of it, I think Credu was the guy who played an official as 'nig of the nog', which nobody bothered to mention, even broadcasters.
Ultimately this is meant to be a community, so people should act like it.
I don't think there should be no way back for people who act like Utter pricks, but you have to stamp that behaviour out collectively if you want anything to change.
maelstrahmhey muuki kill yourself lol
Yeah fuck off with all of that kinda stuff.
It doesn't help
