#50 Biannual iseries idea feat. NA in TF2 General Discussion

i dont think anyone here reasonably expects people in a small community to annually pump out 44500 dollars for lans.

pop7uphttps://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Japan_Charity_Bundle
"By March 29th, the charity had raised over $300,000, and the final tally on April 8th was $430,543.65." Just looked at 1 of the charity raising things tf2 had, 7 days and 300k raised. If valve had some in-game item for lans, I think it would defintly raise alot.

if you bring up toth donations, you have to remember that toth isn't just the competitive community, it's pubbers and people who don't even play tf2. pubbers would not want to pay money for lans that they have no interest in, yet everyone wants to help out charity. i feel like this idea is good in spirit, but seems like it wasn't thought out at all, and to be honest is a pretty bad plan. it has no real way of ever lifting off because as mentioned, fundraiser goals rarely get met in full and people get outside help to travel. also, for the people who do spend money on fundraisers every year, they probably don't want to donate money every 6 months, especially if you donate a lot

#27 TF2 ranked higher then Overwatch in TF2 General Discussion
GazFlickerWell at least they listen to their community
2 friends of mine who were actually really invested into OW quit and said theres a lot of balancing issues as of now so I don't think they listened to the community in that regard considering they are adding another hero to the game. The last one got released 1 month ago.

They are not listening, they are actively pandering to the casual part of the community because they noticed theres more money to be made there. Competitive isn't generating much interest whatsoever.
I honestly doubt the pro's want another hero in place of balancing changes.

i personally think that your friends and you are wrong. blizzard does a pretty good job of communicating to their community and definitely do it more than valve. also, after the next patch drops i think most characters will be in a pretty good spot balance wise. some mechanics are annoying to play against, but that doesn't mean they're op or underpowered. the only thing you could argue is that defensive heroes are underpowered but that's because most defensive characters require kills to come to you (hanzo, widow, torb, bastion, and even mei and junkrat to an extent) and the meta right now is hyper aggressive, which blizzard is trying to change by reducing lucio's speedboost. i really think blizzard knows what they're doing with the balancing, and even if they don't, that's why they test patches on the ptr. to get feedback. you don't have to like overwatch, which ik 99% of tftv doesnt, but that doesn't mean blizzard created a shit game.

for the only international lan tf2 ever gets why the fuck have we watched one (1) game in the 4 hours this stream has been live and half of that time was a stream that had no audio that was self sustained by twitch chat enjoying copy pastas. how is this possible? was everyone at multiplay touching their asses yesterday?

#17 FaZe SDB and Forsaken in Esports

I watched a lot of the stream and the only thing I remember star saying about tf2 is that it was where he came from and why he was hoping for harbleu to win, and said obviously he doesn't play it anymore but he has the tf2 blood in him with harbleu but I'm pretty sure he didn't shit talk tf2 and if anything he said good things about it. feel free to prove me wrong though.
