Gpit produced the most exciting matches of any map. I did have a few ideas for a pro version (an extra pathway between B - C that went underneath), but I never actually made it.
I was there when they showed it off. Here's a few impressions:
+ Looks like every champion can strafe jump, some have faster movespeeds/strafe jump speed than others.
+ It's vanilla quake 3 movement aka no air control except for one character that has full cpm aircontrol but has low hp.
+ All the quake weapons are there, plasma is replaced with a nail gun but it looks like it's essentially the exact same weapon.
+ Ranger was the most played champion and he looked really fun. He's the one that shoots an orb that you can teleport to. Several cool plays with it and counter plays against it.
+ Two maps were shown, TDM on a Campgrounds remake and a new map/mode that is basically TDM but with 2 control points. Controlling a point means you get an extra point when you get a kill. 1 kill with no points controlled = 1 point for your team, 1 kill with 1 point controlled = 2, etc).
I'm indifferent about this, but there are timers for items. If an item is taken, a bar will show roughly how long till it spawns. I think if they want to do item timers this is the way to do it, not on your hud. This means you still have to see the item location to know when it will be up.
- You can not see anything. One of the most cluttered visuals I've seen, and I usually only complain about that when I'm actually playing. I also know what's what in the game since I've played quake but it's still hard to tell what's going on. When you are low hp your entire screen is covered in blood. Game has to have options for turning off particles/effects/contrast.
- Physics look rigid. I may be wrong on this one, as it really takes playing the game to get a feel for it, but weapon interactions with enemies seemed to have little effect. I'm talking about knockback from projectiles/hitscan. For me, this is one of the features that makes tf2/quake so much more fun than other fps games.
Overall looks pretty good and I'm excited to try it.
Gravel Pit is the best map in the game.
Gemmellnessdecent deals on benq 144Hzes just like last year
Where are you seeing that? The XL2411Z is still $270 for me.
TsarbucksTLRI'll knock the rust off and get the team chemistry down and hopefully provide a better show in coming matches!
How was coming back after a 2 year break?
Actually pretty interesting. Yesterday was my first time scrimming in over 1.5 years. The first scrim I was very out of the general flow, like tracking ubers / where both teams are / where I should position / etc, but I've been feeling more comfortable every game.
I'll knock the rust off and get the team chemistry down and hopefully provide a better show in coming matches!
If anybody has experience with the Skyrim Creation Kit, I am working on a project using the kit and have a few questions that I can't find online. Any help would be appreciated, just post here or PM me. Thanks
deetrHype AF, opened 70 packs got 5 legendaries
I saw TLR get a golden legendary
Played ramp druid with the new 2/3 wild growth on ladder today and went x-3 going from rank 13 to 8, that shit is insanely consistent
It was acidmaw and I quickly disenchanted it. Midrange paladin is really strong. Justicar and Gormok are fun to use in the deck and really good. Also the paladin murloc card can get out of control.
