wareyaThe G500 has a laser sensor. The sensor itself has inherent (albeit minor) positive acceleration. The placement on the mouse has nothing to do with it. Any mouse will have supposed/apparent "weird" acceleration if you don't move it in a self-consistent manner.
Positive acceleration means that faster mouse speeds are more-faster onscreen than they should be than slow mouse speed are. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1811521/sdf2f.png A technical term for mouse acceleration is "mouse ballistics".

Usually, the mouse sensor would be placed in the center. This causes the mouse to move faster/slower in a vertical direction.
I'm not sure I understand. If you don't turn the mouse, the off-center sensor should have no effect.

This is made by hi-rez studios, the company that wanted to make tribes ascend an esports title. How did they go about this ? No demo recording, utterly fucked class balance, retarded physics, ignore competitive players' feedback, trash spectator mode... the list goes on. They are half dishonest and half incompetent.
