alright, the frames i get when using the dx9 config are more stable. i am still annoyed about this, though. i don't like how the dx9 graphics look. anyway, thanks disengage and everyone else who helped.

The people who usually duel on that channel are good, at least, I think so. What would you say your skill level is?
Hey, have you been to #warsow.na on quakenet?
So, I just built a computer after I got tired of playing on my terrible HP computer and I am concerned about the fps I get in TF2. My computer is comprised of an Intel i5-3750K, a GTX 660ti, 8Gb of RAM, an after market CPU cooler, an SSD and HDD and the ASRock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard. I am also running Chris' max frames config, with dxlevel set to 81. I was playing in a 24 man server that wasn't even full and my frames were dropping to 90 regularly, I had the cap set at 132. With my specs is this the sort of performance that is typical? If not, what can I do to try and fix it?
would it be possible to add those cool looking maps that you can't get to in ammo mod? the ones that aren't meant to represent a specific section of an existing 6s/pub map?
