We'll never see another rivalry that competitive for such a long period of time again (season 6 to 17). Here's a great read by djc that covered their games right up until the S13 LAN (the birth of HRG).

Everyone knows what hedge is capable of in-game. He's the prodigy Demo, following mae's footsteps, who followed Block's footsteps, etc. etc. But he's a solid teammate. Cares about getting better and pugs religiously to hone his skills and make 7 minute frag videos to laugh at when he gets drink (takes about two shots). On top of that, he can run server stuff and schedule scrims as seen a few seasons ago pre-BLANC. He is as hilarious as he is talented at Demo. I've been carried by him the last three seasons and his contributions to my quote book are second only to SpaceCadet. Plus he's got a chill stream (twitch.tv/hedgehog_hero by the way). He's pretty much all you'd ever want in a high-level Demo. Block and mae played in Invite, and he'll get there soon.

Oh but uh West Coast gamers / teams beware, if you don't play on Chicago servers he will 100% find you, murder you, then consume your corpse. He hates anything not-Chicago with a burning passion.

In terms of value, nobody meant more to the team than brian. The man is capable of fixing any phone, laptop, or computer. His calls are extremely consistent and always provides direction. He'll countersack if your Roamer can't, his ubers are massive, and his Shotgun is a nice change of pace. His shitty jokes are even funnier considering all the times he tells you to off yourself for an equally bad joke. Also he's like a professional cook or something? Iunno everytime he talks about a meal he made it always sounds amazing. brian did have times where he'd shut down but I never blamed him at all - people weren't listening to or ignoring his calls and he got tired of it (as would anyone in that position). Put him on Roamer, he deserves a break. Now he can Airstrike bomb without abandon.

But seriously, brian is a wholesome teammate, great gamer, and proven in-game leader. Try him out, unless he's 3 drinks in you won't be disappointed.

Untrue by the way. Seeding has always been determined by W-L record then head-to-head record then rounds won. SVIFT swept Ascent 2-0 during the regular season so even if their records and rounds were the same they'd be given the higher seed. Playoff seedings also matter a little more now since they gave us pick / ban for maps, but only by a small amount. In the past it really didn't matter who got 2nd or 3rd seed since the maps were always predetermined.

I remember writing the preseason article for Myanimelist and being told to list "Happycool" to go with / follow the "alias in match" rule. If he hasn't changed his ESEA name all season then he's fine. His name everywhere else is irrelevant. What kind of wack shit is this
