#11 IM team need soldier and backups in Recruitment (looking for players)

Trust me, jodd prefers the term "strategic uber displacement." It's much more refined.

#161 ESEA-O S18 Happenings/Predictions in TF2 General Discussion

Considering the number of partially paid teams we should get at least 35 by the deadline. And that's solid considering S16 had 31 and S17 and S12 (the lowest from S11-S15) had just under 40.

brooky12To be fair, downpour is correct, if there wasn't another league the only NA 6s league would be ESEA. However, I'd be surprised to see people actually joining into ESEA and staying in it, they'd maybe spend a season, perhaps two, and decide that spending the money to get trashed on weekly isn't a good use of their time/money. Why would new players be interested in joining a pay-to-play league for a format so completely different from what they've experienced, only to get absolutely decimated because they don't understand the intricacies of the 6s meta? With UGC at least you can understand what the classes do, why certain weapons are banned, how to play the maps, make friends, etc.

You make it sound as if UGC is the only place where you won't get rolled, the only place to learn the game, the only place to make friends. That makes zero sense. If you have the right attitude and ethic about improvement it should matter where you're playing, so long as the competition fosters games which you can learn from.

Or maybe I'm just interpreting your post incorrectly.

HuckAlso I doubt tf2 would go down to 1 division, even though two divisions would still be dumb for some of the lower level teams, it's not like the worst team in open is going to be playing Froyotech.

Could still technically happen if divisions were merged, especially since the opening schedule generates the first 8 matches now instead of 6 like it used to. Again, I think back to Disney Channel Celebs S15 where they had like their first 8 matches against all playoff teams.

Still, looks like the numbers are in our favor for getting a healthy Open division. ...if only the IM teams / players would get paid up...

Pay up, friends. We don't have to have merged divisions.

Mr_OwlSaltysally1i've seen medics pop because of spies and they don't do any damage :PThat's because backstab mechanics combined with melee mechanics are the stupidest thing on earth and it's just not worth taking the chance that he'll get a backstab by swinging at your face from one million miles away

I have dropped enough times to facestabs in Highlander that I know that shit ain't worth messing around in 6's.

Seasons 13-15 had some of the largest Open divisions but then season 16 onwards was the whole ESEA v. CEVO / bitcoin shenanigans. We'll be lucky if we match last season's numbers.

#106 ESEA Season 18 Registration in News

Oh yeah what about ruleset? Wouldn't mind seeing a poll (not the silly ESEA version where we need Premium) for that, or what are your thoughts on that, Killing?

#1 Invite Coverage: Opinions / Suggestions in TF2 General Discussion

Hello friends. I covered ESEA Invite last season through Power Rankings and roster update articles. Now, I'm not entirely sure if I'll be doing so for the upcoming S18 yet, but if I were, I want the community feedback. What did you think of my writing last season? What was good, and what wasn't? Is there anything else would you like to see / suggestions for future coverage? Personally, last season was a huge letdown for me as I never had enough time to work on pieces as I wanted. In addition, I had wanted to setup a network with the Invite players early on in the season to get some more interaction (like interviews, or various commentary) with them but that also fell through. So yeah, looking to hear what you guys have to say. Otherwise mana will keep heckling me about it.

Thanks for your time.

Arena can be disgusting sometimes. 3 Yetis in the first 4 turns is so gross.
