XanJodd and Soapy, i don't know how to judge medics that well. So i'm going to even it out
We can turn to very simple math to resolve this. Soapy has 8 drops, while jodd only has 4.
Soapy is clearly the better Medic.

Go Skye! Go Zambler!
I record all Mumble during matches and will be syncing them with my POV towards the end of the season. I think a few people in Open already do this, like mana?
GliderPS: Fix servers plz
Servers are actually normal now. My team and I had zero stutters in a 25 minute match last night, and others have been saying the same regarding the servers. It's nice to see.
I think the spawncamp when the other team only had 5 players is pretty lame, ignoring skill gap.
I feel like there were still some other matches that might not necessarily be super close or top quality but still worth talking about.
Squid Squad vs. Anime Jackson Jihad
- I don't know the boys on Anime Jackson Jihad at all but on paper this game seems like it'll be close? Both teams have had pretty easy wins and lost to SYOPS, with Anime getting a round and Squid Squad getting zero. Then again, Squid Squad has Knuckles for Sniper (and bon3 on Scout) and I don't even know who the Scouts are for the other team so maybe I'm just talking out of my ass. ~ 4-1 Squid Squad
Omega Rhythm vs. Donk Kongs
- Assuming Omega Rhythm gets their roster setup before this match could also be interesting. Froot and aim (if he's actually on the team) are a solid Soldier pair and this hijack of Dropdown Turnaround could land them some easier matches in the latter half of the season. I've seen little of Donk Kongs so I can only hope this is a somewhat close game. I still love Froot despite the heartbreak he has caused me and my team. ~ 4-2 Omega Rhythm
Red Hot Digi Peppers vs. We Never Wipe
- So a week or two ago I wouldn't have paid attention to this matchup at all. But then the Digi Peppers picked up Shaftmetwisted AKA Hotlikesauce and then rolled over Just Relax, which I didn't expect at all. Coupled with the roster shenanigans that We Never Wipe just experienced and Red Hot Digi Peppers could be looking for another key victory. However, with Jaguar back on the squad I like We Never Wipe's chances more. ScrewB, raphiam and Jag will be putting out plenty of damage for their Scouts to cleanup on, can the counterparts on Digi Peppers do the same? ~ 4-1 We Never Wipe
Honorable Mention(s): SS Fan Club vs. Just Relax. All Blue vs. Piss Factory
My ticket got updated today with "We pushed out a server update recently. Let me know if this is still taking place from this point forward." so hopefully this will solve most if not all issues yay.
SAAM_Where in Mass? I'm heading out from a couple miles south of Boston and could pick up a few people on the way.
That goes to anyone who's within like 45 minutes of this route
I'm too far. In the middle of fucking nowhere, Amherst.
gg's, hope it was as good to watch.
Put me down as a maybe if I can figure out how to get a ride there from Mass lol.
As long as new teams are looking to improve and STAY TOGETHER, the followup season to your debut season will always be better. Just hang in there. Use this season to build chemistry with your team, keep everyone on the same page and look to come in strong next season.
Honorable shoutouts to Disposable Heroes, who won S12 Open in their 2nd season together, and of course Disney Channel Celebs, who stuck together for the entirety of S15 after getting matched up against 8 playoff-level teams and getting 3 rounds in their first 8 matches (yes I will bring up this team every chance I get).
P.S. it's still really dumb how ESEA doesn't schedule the first 6 matches anymore. It would make for better matchups across all skill levels in Open, since you'll be getting matches based on your record much earlier than the current system is now. I hope that they'll go back to it for future seasons.
Anyone casting No Need for Names vs. Virgin Police tonight?
Red_pizzagon might do something now that unwittys gone rofl
Fuck you.
blendtecIMO We Never Wipe will win both of their matches fairly convincingly
I thought the same, but then I looked at their page and apparently they're shuffling around the roster again? And Jaguar's not playing anymore?
blendtecI'm favoring Morin's team in the other match you mentioned, but it should be very close. 5-3 or maybe 5-4 morin?
I actually think Mumble Robots is stronger. Maybe like a 5-3 in their favor.
...and I just realized none of the match links I posted worked WTF.
Those articles aren't the only place to talk about Open. Look at the IM thread. And considering you only talked about 2 matches in your W2 "predictions" I wanted to post in here, because this is a thread for S18 Open.
