PendaThere was a 6v6 tournament but I don't know if anyone actually signed up.
There were I believe 4-6 teams, with two being premade and the rest being comprised of randoms joining eachother. One of the random teams (mine, along with my buddy) won.

I actually went last year, it was decent fun. There was a LAN, and it was mostly random. I was the only one there with any competitive experience, and (surprise) my team won. Ended up getting some money to spend in the booth area, got a TF2 and Dalek glass, and I think some extra stuff. I'd love to see more turnout this year, the LAN room was fun and people were spectating in a spectator's room that had people casting the matches. It'd be nice to see more people from teamfortress.tv there this year, come out and LAN!
I'll be there, my buddy and I listed ourselves in the lab wiki under TF2. We definitely need more turnout.
4812622Handcuffedi think seagull's idea of unlocking everything (even class limits) makes sense with this change.
wrangled level 3s with the rescue ranger and pomson+gunslinger+short circuit engineers?
full-time phlog pyros that run as fast as scouts?
full-time tomislav sandvich gru heavies that get whipped by soldiers?
what about bazooka + backup/conch + whip?
what about the quick-fix and vita-saw?
what about 152% speed scouts with mad milk and triple jump?
what about 4 heavy 2 medic, or 3 heavy 3 medic, or 6 wrangled sentries on last or some other bullshit
how could you even consider any of that a positive change
More weapon combinations means more variations on the game, and different counters. Phlog pyro? Rocket and pill to death, or Heavy bullet it the poor mmph. Tomislav gru Heavy? Better run a Sniper!
Each of the classes and their weapons are all supposed to have checks and balances, counters, etc. By allowing everything, the meta will most definitely change but can be said as anything but stagnant. The weapons you're mentioning definitely don't fit in the existing 6's meta, but that meta is out the window with the sticky changes, so why not give something else new a chance while we're already mixing things up?

cefyrinwhy are you always hostile toward top 6s players?
A fair amount of top 6s players bash Highlander, so it just seems mutual is how I see it. Why can't we all just get along?

I have same issue, that was in my console. I've tried replacing and am currently verifying the integrity of the game cache to see if that helps. Any word on this would be nifty.
I guess it was a limited time offer? The Dropbox link 404's for me now.
cp_croissant is easily one of my favorite maps now. It's gorgeous, functional, and the map maker seems to be receptive to feedback to making it better.
pl_barnblitz is such a good change of pace from pl_upward and pl_badwater, but didn't fit the summer theme since it's a stock map now.
ctf_vitalism was another good change of ctf pace, with a unique take on how ctf works. As a Medic, I hated it. But as a player, it's a good map and my Scout loved it.
cp_standin I'm up in the air about. A unique take on control points for sure, but also a clusterfuck that ended up being about which team communicated better. Yes, communication is important (and we ended up rolling that map) but I'd like to see some more elements contributing to who wins the map.
dom_canalzone seemed to have good intentions. Can't say much nicer about it, though the map maker seems gung-ho about making it functional which is nice.
koth_waste is an awesome koth map.
cp_obscure seemed like an average 5cp map. Which isn't a bad thing, it's my favorite game mode, and it also means it's not a bad 5cp map. But it also wasn't exceptional like cp_croissant.
pl_borneo was another good change of pace from pl_upward and pl_badwater, not as good as pl_barnblitz but also not a stock map yet. A good design theme too, different from the deserts of sand and snow we normally see.
ScholarThere is no problem with resetting platinum. If a great team gets move down they will make it back up the next season because they are clearly better than every other steel team.
On the other hand, the big pack of the lower half of platinum aren't that much better than steel teams. I remember ifa squared beating most of those teams in scrims
That's why the Silver division exists now.
