Someone being a piece of garbage human doesn't nullify their accomplishments.
I feel like we have been here before...
If we go HAM 1, VER 2 with HAM getting fastest lap in SA, will will have tied points for the final race in Abu Dhabi.

Audio gremlins are always an absolute bitch. What I would suggest if your shit isnt working no matter what, is downloading a virtual mixer like voicemeter and hard setting output/input for stuff. But this opens up its own rabbit hole of audio bullshit. If you are familiar with some audio stuff this might be your best bet, if not it will probably just make life even more hell.
True, but only at the top level. I do not see current IM sollys massively out maneuvering Lansky, WW, Blaze, TLR, Seagull, Dave__AC etc. There were some fucking scary soldiers playing in 11/12.
100% the 11/12 team, not even a question. That's like season 10-13 of ESEA and had a decently high skill level across multiple teams. The teams and players were probably a little worse than what we see at the very top level today, but by 2011/12 the game was understood to a decent level and invite teams were anything but bad. And honestly the game hasn't evolved that much since that time, yes we have different weapons and the pocket scout meta is different than the more soldier/demo centric play we saw, but the vast majority of the underlying fundamentals are the exact same. The only thing I could see making a difference is the crossbow and modern teams and medics understanding how to abuse it because that shit is mad broken.

Does anyone actually consider popo the sandbagger? He played med and then shitposted.
reno If anyone has any suggestions on other ways we should handle this, please let me know.
Outside of NC dont class restrict people, and above open require rosters to have 3/6 of the same players as the previous season to move up. The league (should) have settled by now so IM/Adv/Main/Invite should not be open to whatever roster wants to play in it. Maybe allow only 2 "new" rosters that don't have any history in each div per season or something but require the rest of the rosters and players to have some agency and make the divs actually mean something. For as annoying as it was in ESEA the roster requirements really did make the divisions mean something and proving that you can play at that level mean something. The current RLG structure totally takes away any player agency and roster meaning. Rather than being a "team", it's just a name on a spreadsheet that can be dropped the second you meet the requirements.

On one hand, I don't remember it being THAT bad in ESEA
On the other Tino, we literally rang Yui, who was one of the best scouts in the world.
Also I definitely played against a team that rang Stark at one point.
And we did still lose that game...

Not just directed at you, more to everyone in the community you just happen to be the one talking about it... But I really have to ask (and maybe I am just too much of a boomer) but why is this sandbagging shit such a sticking point for RGL? I don't play anymore, but are sandbaggers or "OP" ringers actually a problem? I haven't truly played since ESEA died, but in comparison ESEA had way less issue with people sandbagging than RGL does, seemingly because ESEA said "fuck it figure it out yourselves" instead of trying to regulate it. I cant help but think that trying to regulate these things really only produces negative outcomes. One, people get super frustrated when they see players that they think should be banned from X or Y class and are not, and two it adds so much extra work for the admin team to try and juggle a whole bunch of super subjective ideas on who is good at what class. Its also not like a whole bunch of players even try to sandbag anyways, most players that plan the game want to play at the level they are capable of rather than down 2 divisions.
