#5 Discord bot for small community PUGs in Off Topic

Should be fixed now.

SolarLightThank you Trath, very cool!

Unfortunately "!set game TF2/CSGO/Whatever" doesn't seem to be working for me right now, and I'm certain that I'm doing so in the correct text channel. Even made a test server with only one text channel and had the same issue. Otherwise, the bot seems to be working as intended.

You're right, just invited to a new server and it didn't work.
I haven't touched this thing in about two months, so I'll have a look tomorrow to fix it.

#1 Discord bot for small community PUGs in Off Topic

I made little side project - a Discord bot that can organize PUGS - CSGO included. Still needs to be worked on, but if nobody ever uses it what's the point?

Give it a try: https://addme.gg/GatherBot/

GatherBot
GatherBot is a game/PUG(pick up game) organizing bot on top of the Discord platform. Reminiscent of the old IRC Gather bots, GatherBot lets players queue up to a PUG (by position, in games where relevant), and start when the required number of players join.

Commands:
Default prefix is '!' Basic commands to get started: - 'commands' - lists all currently active commands - 'status' - gives the current status of the PUG (how many players added, etc) - 'game' - tells you the current game the bot is set to

Admin Commands
All admin commands start with 'set', so for example '!set game csgo' - 'game' - changes the game to be played - 'name' - changes the bot's nickname - 'channel' - changes the bot's active channel (the bot is only active on a single channel)

Features:
-Supports multiple games, both single and multi position (For example in CSGO you just need 10 players, in LoL you need 2 of each position)
-Map voting (for relevant games)
-AFK/Ready up system
-Automatically creates voice channels and roles for each team (under a single category channel), gives only the players on each team access to their voice channel (by giving them the appropriate role).
-Automatically moves voice-connected users to their appropriate voice-channel, otherwise sends them a DM with an invite link (so they can just click it and conveniently join the voice-channel)
-Server managers can customize some settings. As new features get added, customization will grow. At some point, I want to make a little web app that'll allow managers to customize the bot's settings.

Roles automatically created

Auto-moved to voice channel (Note: in the picture I have admin rights so I see all the voice channels. In practice, players will only see a single voice server - the one they have access to.)

Future features / TODO / possibilities:
-Support for different team creation systems (captain system, PUG runners/admins)
-Bot level ban system? Important for no-shows and such (people who you want to ban from
-Feel free to suggest your own ideas

I am already trying to use PayPal, but it won't work despite the money coming from PayPal Balance due to the discrepancy between country's.

#1 Need someone to "gift" me battlerite in Other Games

I can't purchase on steam because my credit card country != my residing country.
Looking for someone to transfer money to in PayPal, who will then gift me the game (Battlerite).

#13 What headphones to get? in Hardware
bearodactylIt'd help If you could specify a specific genre of music that you would like to listen to or if you want extra highs/lows or neutral, etc. Another important question is if you want closed or open back, but +1 on the v6 if you're not sure that you want anything special.

I don't really have a specific genre of music that I listen to.
I've never tried open back nor have I had a problem with closed back, so I guess I want closed back.

You recommend the mdrV6, but looking around online it seems the mdr-7506 is better in someway?
Honestly, I haven't gotten the opportunity to try out many headphones to know what "type" I like and Bass/Mids/Highs/Treble and other words mentioned in all the headphone reviews I've looked at doesn't mean much to me. As in, I can't say I understand the real effect it has on the sound.

The Sony's and the CAL! 2 are both reviewed really well all over the place.
There is no place close-by that has them to try out.
How do I pick?

#1 What headphones to get? in Hardware

Looking to get headphones, up to 100$. Basically for music.
Right now it looks like I'm gonna get the Creative Aurvana Live! 2.

Are there any other/better options for the price?
I know ATH M50 gets mentioned all the time on the internet, but they cost 150$.
Even if its a huge upgrade in sound, I'm not gonna throw another 50$ on headphones.
I had the Creative Aurvana Live! and I thought the sound was pretty decent.

Sorry if there is a thread like this every day/week, I tried searching before posting.

#53 Free to play - Dota 2 documentary in Off Topic
MightyMeValve sure knows its marketing, that was amazing.
Also I don't play Dota, but that play Dendi made at 1:05:40 was fucking sick, pretty much winning the finals for them there.

The whole Navi vs eHome part was so captivating and very well made. Didn't understand anything that was going on but it was still amazing.

#17 Anderson Silva broken leg in Off Topic
phAZEthat was hard to watch. Wanted silva to come out and respect weidman instead of fuckin around like he did last time and thats just what he did. shame it ended in such a lame way, would have been a good one. one side of me thinks his career is over but another side makes me feel like he won't go out on this note. he wants to cement his legacy.

How is that a "lame" way? The leg check is a great answer to Silva's kicks.
Sure it isn't a spectacular ending for us spectators, but if you think about it you can appreciate it.

Just look at that slow-mo, Weidman makes Silva hit solid bone.
