This show has changed my life in the same way Breaking Bad did. Amazing.
Things are so gloomy and that helps to add to the effect, sooo goood.

i keep finding things from the 2000's, when the main part show is supposed to be placed in 1995???
some parts of the writing seem a little grabby for certain audiences...
but it's still got me hooked, fuck. they know how to keep people around for the subsequent episodes, for sure.

already checked DVR...looks like its gonna be a 1 hour episode next week
thats pretty shitty, typically a season finale is longer than the normal run time of a show...especially with something like HBO i'd expect it to be 2hrs...oh well

He also had some pretty substantial facial hair back then, the beard was kinda covering them up.

afaik hair doesnt grow back on scar tissue but looking back you can definitely see some scars on the side of his face but rust gets distracted by marty honking the shit out of his horn
also lawnmower dude aka green eared spaghetti monsters name is errol childress which is the same last name as one of the prison guards of that guy that killed himself in prison and also the name of a sheriff mentioned in one of earlier episodes who had something to do with the fonteneau case

To be fair, it's never confirmed that they are burn scars and could have been the result of something else.

For people interested in off-beat theories about how the finale will go, dailybeast posted an interesting article outlining some of the ones that make the most sense. Some of them are goofy but some really line up so its a pretty good read.

SEASON FINALE TOMORROWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Great ending to the best season of TV I've ever watched. Highly recommend.
EDIT: The IMDB page says there is a 9th episode titled "Episode #1.9". Anyone know what it's all about? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3579820/?ref_=tt_ep_ep9

Seriously I'm about to spoil the end

I really liked that ending. I assume a lot of people are going to hate it, but I loved the non-twist simple culmination of all the events leading up to discovering and killing Childress.
As for the final 15 mins in the hospital. I thought it dealt with some really awesome concepts. Simple but awesome. Being a huge Tolkien fan, there were comments about stories and stars and light and dark that were a nice surprise. Rust "coming around"/reborn was the twist ending for me. Him not dying was the twist. HBO ending a series with a complete nihilist believing in something . . . whatever it is, was a twist.
The final dialogue was a welcomed period to the series. Rust telling Marty he is wrong as usual, but this time with a reference to Genesis 1 and the big bang theory while looking like Jesus? Get out of here. "In the beginning there was only darkness. If you ask me, light is winning."
