#20 NFL Kickoff Change in Off Topic
2sy_morphiendFootball and baseball are both shit "sports." If you have to stop to take a breather every 5 seconds you're playing a game, not a sport.

#19 NFL Kickoff Change in Off Topic

I dont really like that (potential) rule change, but I cant put my finger on why.

I hear it was greg shiano (bucs coach) who actually asked goodell about it.

I think its mostly being considered because its a player safety type of thing. Lots of times in kickoffs, you get 2 players running full speed and crashing into each other and getting hurt. That happens less with punts because the punters put more emphasis on hangtime in order to eliminate a big return.

But its well known that goodell doesnt care about player safety. he cares about making money. This is why thursday night football exists. If he actually cared, then he would either eliminate thursday night football, or make it so that you can only play thursday if you are coming off a bye week.

#2 Pushing Process Last in Map Discussion

Step 1. get an uber advantage any way you can. lots of ways to do this. Spies, snipers, 4-man bomb, push keep your medic up and kill theirs, etc.

Step 2. uber in. While they are kiting your uber, get on the point and force them to collapse to the point

Step 3. Kill them

Step 4. victory blunt

#29 How is Far Cry 3 & AC3's singleplayer? in Off Topic

OK, here is treks thoughts on AC3.

I love all the AC games and hae played through them multiple times. They made some significant changes with AC3, but still kept a lot of the stuff that makes AC good.

First thing they changed is the controls. They simplified the controls down from 4 main buttons in the previous 4 games down to 2. This means that everything is more context sensitive, which can be both good and bad. It is good in that many easier manuevers are really simple to do, but a lot of times you will find your character running up walls and stuff when you didnt want him to. This can make certain mission very frustrating.

The game has several noticeable bugs, most are not that big a deal, none will prevent you from completing missions.

Combat is also simplified but extremely fun.

Another thing they did different that I quite liked from previous games is the economy stuff. In previous games, there was lots of ways to make money, but there was lots of stuff to spend money on. There is absolutely nothing to spend money on in AC3, so none of the economy stuff matters, and i didnt bother with it at all.

There are different types of missions like the naval missions which are fun, and they changed the way the assassin recruits work.

In conclusion, they changed a bunch of stuff, some of it works, some doesnt really work. The game is very fun, I put 26 hours into it. It is as good as the games in the Ezio trilogy IMO.
