#35 need good prog metal in Music, Movies, TV

I'm mostly going to list older prog metal bands simply because they get overlooked because they're not djent.

Watchtower (Ron and Alex Jarzombek's first group). Really weird progmetal from the 80s with a little bit of a Rush vibe.

Psychotic Waltz. Imagine a much more metal Jethro Tull with a badass singer (Buddy Lackey/ Devon Graves). He appeared on a few recent Ayreon albums and also fronted Deadsoul Tribe.

Symphony X. Classic prog metal from the 1st gen and always puts out good music.

Queensryche. Geoff Tate is a great singer and Operation Mindcrime is the first great prog metal concept album.

Cloudkicker (He's known on the internet, but he's not really too big). He used to be the guy from in Columbus but now I think he's in Pittsburgh.

Novallo is always pretty cool, I'm friends with their lead guitarist.

Cynic's Focus was probably the greatest record to come out of 90s florida death metal.

Gordian Knot is probably my favorite instrumental group from the 90s, put out consistently good music.

#22 Check out my single! in Music, Movies, TV

Hey, thanks all for checking it out! We're getting decent coverage on this, with 3x more listens than we've ever had yet, and we're #20 on Columbus trending and #1 under Psychedelia!!

It means a lot that even people I've never met or only ever met once are digging the music!

PhunkI find it interesting that most went from source to go and classic to go, very few played a lot of all 3

also who is the baller with only 1.5k total

it's because source and 1.6 were very different, so most pros that start in 1.6 stay there and the one that start in source never played 1.6

In fact, I think there isn't a single player (well known) that played both 1.6 and source professionally.

Here ya go

http://mixlr.com/

can put it on dropbox, soundcloud and other ones after you're done broadcasting

it probably isn't as intensive as obs so maybe one of the members of the signal chain in the broadcast can just have it there running without much problem
