#42 Valve's Game in News
SeagullAdmirableJust a first step, hopefully we can experiment further with simplified class limits like a universal 1 or 2 or dare I say no limit?! Disgusting filth :o
Really hoping you all remove the class limits entirely. It makes it much more interesting for spectators (at least for me personally), and it allows teams to change up their class composition depending on the type of strategy they want to run. I also think it might be hard to determine overall unlock balance when some of it could be innately overpowered in a 6v6 class limit format. Either way, I can't wait to watch :)

That's something we *could* do during the second evening, but shh nothing is decided yet..

Don't forget enforcer spies.

And tide turner demomen.

And Fists of Steel heavies through traps.

And Vaccinator.

And everything else ;)

#130 Lange's thoughts on the state of competitive TF2 in TF2 General Discussion

I think comp.tf can help filling the gap between pubbers and competitive players.

When i first got interested in Starcraft : Brood War, I spent a fair amount of time on Liquipedia reading about build orders, past competitions and great stars of the game. It featured lots of related links to interviews, replays, or casts.

I think we can help comp.tf grow and be the gateway newbies need by adding/compiling more and more tactics/strategic/basic stuff about the game. So that everytime someone asks a common question on reddit, we know where to redirect them.

#11 cheap mechanical keyboard in Hardware
iridescentFUZZSaw the Monoprice mechanical on MassDrop a while ago, looked really nice.

Probably the only time I'll ever say this, but too bad you don't live in India. You can get a good quality mechanical keyboard with cherry blues for $25-35. Had mine 3 years now and it's still going strong.

is there ways to import them?:D

The 6v6 Whitelist has been generated!
http://whitelist.tf/2304

Feedback?

Very good of you to adopt a different stance than ETF2L :D

Few concerns still :

  • Crit-a-cola : this *could* be really abused, especially to do super fast rollouts
  • Bazaar Bargain : i might be late to the party but i believe it's banned in 9v9 because of a bug that allows it to charge faster even without heads, you might have to check this
  • Not a lot of heavy/engi unlocks : is it because you believe that Heavies and engineers aren't fun to play/to play against? These two classes seem pretty left alone in my opinion. You could maybe allow sandvich, buffalo steak, all the miniguns minus natascha, holiday punch, pomson(it has been nerfed come on), widowmaker and southern hospitality without causing too much unfun/unfair abusement.

TLDR : good whitelist, to keep the same spirit add some engi/heavy unlocks

Rumors from Tek36 mention some euro teams for GA 2015...

I like the idea of fighting matrix-like in this second point.

With indoor maps make sure to keep enough height space for the HUUUUUUUUUUGE AIRSHOTS. The mid in particular seems a bit restricted.

#10 The current state of newbie mixes in TF2 General Discussion
SideshowI'd be up for doing this, but I don't really know how it works. Could you run me down how I would get involved, how often, when they normally happen etc?

You should make something equivalent for europe in my opinion.

#40 What Are Your Casting Preferences? in TF2 General Discussion
DavidTheWinloljkI actually really like being able to see an aggregate of the team's total health. It makes understanding the tide of a mid fight/ non v non engagement, where there haven't been many picks yet, much easier.
we used this at i52, I personally thought it was too cluttered, but if there's enough requests for it it can be added back in.

I would like to see this added as well. It helps to see which team plays the heals/buffs better than the other.

Fixed player aliases and player outlines are a must have. But I think the current tftv setup is pretty neat!

Sorry Hyce, all your points are valid.

However, for b10 :
1. on last, two of the three ways are now shutter doors, even with last cap decrease (very good!) i'm not sure this is the best way to ease the pusher's job. Did you try at some point without the main shutter door?

2. on mid, when you go bottom right (trhu healthpack on logroom) you have now no way of getting on your high ground (bridge) quickly as medic/demoman. this way was already unsafe before, but now i don't really know if one can still rollout that way.

anyway this is still better than croissant, so cudos

If it's worth anything i prefer the b9 mid because b10 is too reminiscent of blands/obscure. At least this middle plays completely differently from the other maps, you shouldnt try to tailor it to some sort of norm imo.

Also aestethics wise, the two sides of the map are too similar and too close to RED theme (browns, wood). You should try to go for some concrete-styled textures for the blu side buildings, starting by the hut on mid (-> making it in metal or smth) and then the "rollout" house (using said concrete)

Overall I like the pace on mid/2nd, but would like to see attackers have an easier time pushing last.
