Over the summer I injured my arm and couldn't play many games, so I lived the scape life.
I have to say I do like the changes they have made to rs3 in terms of skilling; everything is so much easier with stuff like remembering your last withdraw-x amount, and the action bars being able to drop/use, and fucking preset bank withdraw inventories. I used autohotkey to bind m1 to 1 on my kb and all I had to do was press 1 1 2 3 to 99 firemaking and cooking.
Unfortunately the severe lack of depth to the gameplay I feel like eventually will lead to everyone quitting for better games. After all, a large staple of runescape is being afk and not actually playing the game at all.

people who play more are more likely to be good?
More likely? Sure, but acting like that is a requirement to be able to improve at this game is awfully close minded. What about cases like street hoops that went from open, to IM, to invite?
All you need is effort dedication. You can learn things these 6th-season-of-open players know in your first season. You just have to study the game, dedicate yourself, and give a damn
"Perhaps I am too harsh on Cloud 9. Though it is hard not to be, looking at their roster, all I see are people who have either never played in ESEA before, or have only played on this team last season."
why do you need 6 seasons of open to be able to learn and understand this game? It isn't that hard if you just put in time and effort

Competitive TF2 works beautifully with the asymetrical class balance, demo does the most damage in the game, but is not unbalanced. He is weaker than the other 6s classes at defending himself, and his mobility is signifigantly less than the other 6s classes, and it much more costly to his own health than rockets jumps, or scout's raw speed.
Look at the way the picks carry different worth - a demo pick is worth a lot, the enemy team loses a lot of their ability to control chokes and deny area, so you are now able to easily push and bully them out of a point. Now look at getting a scout pick. Perhaps this will allow you to push through the now-weakened flank a bit more easily, but it won't give you as big of an advantage or as much breathing room as killing the demo.
Now we can compare this to virtually any other competitive game that takes team comp into account. In league of legends, killing one of the enemy carries gives you a massive advantage in the next fight, as their damage output will be severly decreased. Killing the jungler during the laning phase releaves a great deal of pressure for the solo laners, who can now play more aggerssively. Killing the enemy support, however, will not gain you as big of an advantage.
I can think of countless other examples, but the point is fairly evident in it's own. TF2 works perfectly with it's asymetrical class balance. What would be the point of having a class-based shooter if all the classes were completely the same?
solid demo, played on my team for a few weeks. dedicated to improving, always see him in dm servers, pick him up!
joshuawni felt really bad for laughing at the caster's mumble crashing, but it was perfect
i started casting to myself after that
that sounded less sad in my head
Hypnotizeput it in your custom hud folder (hud folder name/materials/console)
rename the backgrounds background_upward and background_upward_widescreen
you don't need to edit the mainmenuoverride file if i'm not wrong, at least this work for me
what wound up working for me was putting the vtfs in a tf\custom\my_custom_stuff\materials\console directory, and renaming them like you said.
The only issue I'm having now is that when I very first launch the game, the custom image looks perfect, but then after all the menu options and stuff load it becomes rather pixelated, any idea what would cause this? do I have to set some special settings when I convert it in vtfedit?
