Turinidk i used to run an i3 with integrated graphics and got 120 fps normally and 60+ in midfights.
yes exactly my problem, my fps is always above 100, but when i get into midfights it drops. but it's kinda better now with m0re fps config

But like Dance said, if you're still experiencing problems while using an fps config intended to improve your fps, it's probably time you decided to upgrade your cpu (which is most likely bottlenecking your fps).
i'm gonna try m0re fps config.what do i have to type in my launch settings?if i only type -dxlevel 81, will it be fine?

CelticLadyFirstly, it would help if you would provide PC specs so we can get an idea of where the problem(s) might be coming from.
Also, when did you start noticing substantial drops? Before or after the Halloween update?
yea sure my specs are:intel core quad q8400 2.66 ghz
4 gb ram
geforce gtx 260
and before the halloween there were some drops but not as big as now

hey, as we all know tf2 is very badly optimized, so i have an issue. i'm using a highframes config from cris, and when i get into battle my fps is low. i also tried maxframes but it was the same. is there any way to fix this and if it can't be fixed, do you know any fps configs that are more effective?

like he said, you're likely missing/have a duplicate left/right bracket somewhere in one of the files, uploading them to pastebin for us to see would probably help determine what's wrong
i already fixed it i deleted the hud and reinstalled it
