#649 mastercomfig - fps/customization config in Customization
FreudShould interp always be an exact multiple of (1 / rate)? I remember reading (I think in Felik's config?) that 0.02 was a good value, which seems to contradict your and Comanglia's configs.

Also, is the tickrate in TF2 66 or 66.66...? (ie, is the minimum interp I should use 0.01515... or 0.015?) Again, I recall reading differing advice on this.

You can't set your interp lower than the lowest possible value, it get's automatically set to the lowest possible value for your current tickrate. https://i.imgur.com/CZ1tQak.png

The client will set it to interp_ratio/tickrate > 0.015152

Personally I've found that raising interp does very little other than delay projectiles, if other people have garbage computers/internet they're going to warp around and there's nothing you can do about it.

I've having random sounds not play such as deflects or gunshots and I think it's because of async audio. Running from an SSD btw.

fagoatseVantavimeowfagoatseVantavimeowsnd_mixahead 0.04 seems reasonably attainable, 10ms less audio delay is nothing to be sniffed at
This is purely dependent on your audio stack and hardware. If you get no crackling and similar glitches give it a shot.

Are you suggesting there are things I can do that would enable me to lower it further?

Yeah, a good starting point is to measure DPC latency to make sure it's not abnormally high. However, if you haven't noticed any issues such as audio crackling or mouse input misbehaving you probably don't have anything to worry about.

Just tested CS:GO and I can run snd_mixahead 0.0035 on a 20 man server 0.0

No iteration of network settings have had a negative effect for me thus far, however, I do disable smoothing as I only get prediction errors during specific collisions. It might be placebo but sometimes I feel like shots register sooner. I do notice warping but only from people who are blatantly playing on default settings (20 tick).

I would be interested to see odd interp settings scrutinised based on the premise of other people's update rates however.

hud_saytext_time 0 raised my fps by 11 (310 > 321) there is an element of rng to it in-game but it's something to consider.
and an additional +5 fps for r_drawviewmodel 0

I'd like to imagine it's common knowledge at this point but DX8 support has been axed by Nvidia/AMD in their newer drivers, particles and other things will now fail to load etc.

For people who prefer the DX8 Visual style over dx9, this will get you much closer to it:

r_ambientboost 0
r_rimlight 0
r_worldlights 0
mat_phong 0
mat_specular 0
mat_disable_lightwarp 1
mat_hdr_level 0
mat_monitorgamma 1.9

Also the windows 10 creators update completely breaks m_rawinput 0 so that it completely ignores slow mouse inputs, this applies to CS:GO as well. Welcome to 2017.

I would like to take a moment to copyright Stabcebo™ with regards to cl_setupallbones 0 which defaults to 0 and decreases fps by 15 when enabled, Papa Bless.

snd_mixahead 0.2, are you high? that's 200ms delay on audio which is completely unplayable
0.05 is the lowest stable value most people can run with the default being 0.1

Just benchmarked it and it makes no impact what so ever either

#1 HUD crosshair installer? in Customization

Would it be possible for someone to make HUD customiser that works on most that specifically adds and/or customises crosshairs?

If it detected or subsequently added the general formatting for each crosshair set, i.e whayay,fog,garm3n,konr etc wouldn't it be somewhat possible?

This would make some HUDs more compelling and give a larger overall pool of HUD crosshairs to choose from with ease.

+1% from setting all drivers to MSI mode

My PC already defaults to 0.5ms on TF2 apparently.

I'll set the bar at 355 fps then lol

+ No Hats

You won't get 4.9 without a dangerously high/unsustainable voltage and/or a top 3% chip.

-threads 8 does nothing

one must presume you have something else in your favour because my ram (CL13) and OC (4.8Ghz) are somewhat faster.

Atleast someone else with a 6700k is here now lol

2639 frames 7.638 seconds 345.52 fps ( 2.89 ms/f) 22.865 fps variability

turns out NZXT CAM was stealing FPS, overclocked ram to 3333mhz

2639 frames 7.546 seconds 349.72 fps ( 2.86 ms/f) 22.958 fps variability

+4 fps closing discord/skype

OS: Windows 10
Driver version: 359.00

I doubt anyone will believe this tbh, I barely do. I defy anyone to beat this score without mods/cheats :^)

Jesus, I take it that OC is on liquid right?

Nope, Cryorig R1 Universal Air Cooler, 70c on x264 benchmark. AIOs are generally about the same as high end air cooling but noisier and with more inherent risks and No I haven't de-lided my CPU either incase you're wondering.
