#59 Dota 6.79 in Other Games

Why do people keep saying that the Riki buff is going to make running dagon on him viable? Think of it this way. It's like pub stomping with Nyx Assassin, but worse in every single way imaginable. Having any sort of vision still fucks the hero over, and if the team is retarded enough to not buy any vision then the pre-patch Riki with MoM and Basher would have the same effect except would also be able to contribute to team fights.

I'm not sure if you're suggesting it seriously or not. But I'm seeing it a lot on the dev forums and reddit from people who think it's a serious concern and it makes me upset.

I can't find any hero changes that I have any complaint with. We'll have to see how the Broodmother, Bloodseeker, and Nightstalker changes pan out, because those are probably the largest buffs.

It's all the jungle/buyback/roshan changes that are going to have a huge impact. I don't see defensive trilanes being worth it anymore in most cases.

PUFFWhy dota when you can smite!?

Because Hi-Rez makes the clunkiest games ever. Every game they've come out with was a good concept plagued with a terrible engine supporting it.

brownymasterShould have been v7. Seriously, the amount of changes are ridiculous and deserve their own version (day/night, gold intervals, rosh time, no more effective pulling, etc).

Also, anyone know if dragon ancients can get pulled to bot lane near tower? Since they can fly now.

You can pull dire side dragons to bot lane and you can pull radiant side dragons to mid lane.

2cthis will likely turn out either never coming out or be the equivalent of warsow

Pretty much this. Making a new game that is essentially just a pro-mode of an already popular existing game never does well when getting a solid playerbase.

The animation so far looks pretty awful, but I guess it's still has a long way to go for completion still.

#36 TF2 Stream Viewership in TF2 General Discussion
There are plenty other FPS games being streamed constantly and many of them gather a consistent following, bigger than tf2 infact.

Not really. FPS as a whole is a fairly dead genre, and while games like Battlefield 4, CSGO and probably whatever the newest COD is have more viewers, that's really to be expected because they're much more recent games with existing popular franchises.

I'm not trying to say as a community TF2 should stop bothering with increasing stream views and exposure, but I think there's 2 main points to keep in mind:

1.) TF2 is 5 years old. This is impressive, seriously look at the stream views numbers again and try keeping how current the game is in mind. You'll see the occasional OoT or something because Cosmo or another popular speed runner is streaming, but almost every popular game is recent.

2.) FPS is no longer one of the leading competitive genres like it was a decade ago. You say that there are other FPS with larger more consistent viewer bases. There's like 2 or 3, and they are COD, BF, and CS. That being said, it's rare for an FPS to even be top 5 games played unless it was released within the same month or two.

TL;DR I'd say TF2 has probably one of the biggest communities for a 5 year old game

#3 Best way to sell my crap in Off Topic

Depends what it is. If you're looking to sell a mechanical keyboard and decent graphics card you might as well post it here. If it's a stock keyboard and super outdated graphics card you're most likely not going to get any money off it anywhere.

RagorismVortexRagorismhttp://www.last.fm/user/Ragorism

A lot of Melodic Death Metal
Your music compatability is Ragorism is SUPER. Sweet. You also saw the Decapitated, Baroness, and Meshuggah tour too.

My nigga. And yes, that concert was fucking absurdly good, Meshuggah melted my brain

I think the only bands that have played 100% flawlessly live (that I've seen) are like, Meshuggah, Gojira, and Between the Buried and Me, all of which were insane shows

I missed both Gojira and BTBAM last year because of class stuff. Some good shows I saw though were Morbid Angel (was like an hour and a half set with only 2 songs from their new album), Kreator (not even the biggest Kreator fan, but fuck the show is full of energy), Insomnium, that Meshuggah tour, and Mastodon were good live as well.

Forgot to respond to the topic. I just keep winamp on shuffle all music whenever I play.
