To me, community items shouldn't be handed out to anyway that's had anything to do with TF2 beyond playing and watching it, like this list seems to suggest. People related to leagues such as Sonny Black, Permzilla, tri, Fornaught, or people related to the development of tools that are now common place in tf2, i.e bluee, zoob, F2, GentlemanJon, to name some examples. This is what community weapons have been given out for in the past, i.e enigma (tf.tv), Arie (fakkelbrigade, serveme, VanillaTV), Lange (Node and all the plugins he developed idk). They created media that has benefited TF2's community on a large, public scale. That is why league admins, plugin developers, etc, should be on this list, not commentators, minuscule charities, and producers, regardless of how much effort they put in or not.

Think of it like a Nobel Prize for TF2; contributions to global subjects will be made all the time in the world, but Nobel Prizes are awarded to those who make the greatest and most important contributions and innovations in said subject. Will a person commentating the game, with the use of other creator's plugins and other creator's platforms be worthy of it? Almost certainly not, but those who have created and maintained the platforms and technology that enables them to do so are.

This is my opinion and tsc's are his, I'm just sharing my thoughts on it.

regardless of what u think is stupid or whatever, and regardless of your opinion on the process, there are many artists who put a lot of thought and effort into their art. if your only experience of modern art is looking at shit on a screen then you don't have any idea what you're shitting on. imo modern art that goes beyond a simple painting is better viewed in person, though even then paintings are more impressive in person. the art isn't about "oh that is blue and red", it's about thinking about the artist's use of colours, shapes, imagery, and what they are trying to convey. sometimes that art seems ridiculous, i.e the napkin on a wall, but imo there is a thought process behind it; why blue and white, why have fold marks, why have a lone napkin on the wall, away from other props that would be associated with it (table, cutlery)? the deeper meaning is what interests beyond the physical appearance. this goes for all art.
